RE: Chiquita Baker
Hi Chiquita,

Wow, you have really been thru the mill, bless your heart. I hope that you are on the mend and not too badly injured. The big news here is we have a great-granddaughter, she just turned 1 year old, her name is Presley Rose. She's the daughter of my 27 year old grandson, Brett. Boy, she is sure a handful, so energetic! I tripped and fell back in July and dislocated my right thumb, it still won't bend, the doc is talking about surgery but I don't think that's a road I want to go down right now. So I keep exercising and hope it will limber up some. My hubby has cancer but is doing pretty good right now, so thank God for that, we all just muddle thru and do the best that we can. My granddaughter got $49,000.00 in scholarship money for college so that is sure exciting! You take care of yourself, I hope your family is getting along fine. I will talk to you again soon, God bless you and yours.

Your friend,
Glenda

Buckingham Cemetery
I am not very active on this site, but my daughter lives on Cemetery Road & I pass the Buckingham Cemetery often. I wondered if it was listed here.
I was surprised how many graves are listed. If there is anything I can help with, especially pictures, I would be glad to. Kent, North Fort Myers, FL

Thanks very much, I will certainly credit you. We are almost certainly (if distantly) related as the person you identify as your great-great-grandmother Martha Stackhouse was sister to my great-grandfather John Allen Stackhouse. Thanks again.

Transfer
I have transferred George Elmer Dixon, Maude Ellen Underwood, and their daughter Edith to you. Yes I am a relative of the Dixon/Dishon's, but have not linked these to my trees. Sorry this has taken me so long to transfer, this email was not working. If there are any other transfers just ask, I have changed email addresses.

I appreciate the work you do. I have been to Paoli and have pix of the gravestone of Nancy A Pierce my GGgrandma. Where did you get the Gromer (her parents) information?

Permission to use photos
Hi Chiquita - I see your name on many pages of my kin. Just wondered, if I give you a list, if I could use some of your photos on my myheritage.com family tree site. I see here that Martha Isabelle Stackhouse Wilson was your great-great-grandmother. Martha was the sister of my great-grandfather John Allen Stackhouse, and the aunt of my grandmother Grace Allen Stackhouse Pruett. Sincerely,Robyn Pruett Madison

I have transferred the above memorial to your care.

You mentioned Underwoods in your email. I have Underwoods, Moores, Morgans, etc., in my ancestry. I wonder if we are related? Contact me and let's compare Underwoods.

Roy Baker
Hi Miss Chiquita!

Boy, I am so far behind in this work that I don't think I can ever catch up! I transferred Roy to Marilyn and hopefully she can add more info. I hope that you are feeling okay. My knees have been hurting so bad and I went and got 2 of the cortisone shots in each knee, that was about 2 weeks ago and they have already started hurting again. I used to get about 4 months relief from pain, but no more. So I try to stay inside as much as possible in the winter, as I tend to fall down and bust my you-know-what! Take care and have a happy weekend!

Your friend,
Glenda

RE: Floyd Newlin
Thank you very much for your reply. The birth date was one day different from what I had copied out of the Newlin Bible which was written by his sister. I wasn't sure it was my great Uncle, but I believe it was. I just don't remember the name of his 2nd wife.

Do you have any info on Floyd Newlin's father who was Henry Arcus Newlin? I am trying to locate where he is buried.

Marilyn Gayle Thompson Kimmel
Katherine Underwood
I noticed on the page for Roy Arnold Baker Katherine is listed as his spouse. How long were they married. He was killed in World War II and was buried in Europe. My great aunt married his dad Russell Ott Baker and raised him.

Question
I noticed that you left a comment and said you were distant relatives...how are you kin? I've been looking for the "Moore" side of my family for years now and was finally able to get in touch with them this year.

Hi Miss Chiquita,

I was happy to hear from you, and hope you don't go floating off into the ocean! The weather is getting cooler up here at night, but still up around 80 during the day. We have been doing okay, Vernon still doesn't need dialysis yet, so that is great news (he only has half of one kidney.) We got a brand spankin new great- grandbaby a few weeks ago, a little girl, who missed her Daddy's birthday only by a little over 3 hours! She is our first great-grandbaby, and we are gaga over her! She was born with jaundice but is fine now. Take care of yourself and stay out of trouble (HA HA), and I'll try to do the same!

I would love to meet you someday! I have met Jen and Jane so far, they are great! I live in Muncie, so that is east central Indiana, closer to Ohio than Illinois. The next time either of us travel in the other's direction, maybe we could meet up at a restaurant or somewhere like that!
