RE: Sophie Kucharski memorial# 132394835
You have Aunt Sophie's maiden name as Swidoski. This is how it was spelled on her original birth records. However, in 1937 Sophie sent a request asking Michigan City, Indiana Board of Health to correct the spelling. Her maiden name was Swislowski, as on her marriage license. Later the family, including her parents and brothers changed the spelling to Sislowski.
Please change the maiden name to Swislowski or Sislowski.

Thanks for your contribution to their page. I have added the cemetery as you suggested. They were lovely people, and I played in their yard as a child . . . some sixty years ago.

Thank you for the info. I added it to his bio. I left the surname as Martin as it shows on his death cert. and gravestone.
Have a great day!

You are correct about what the cemeteries keep track of, being mainly the date of burial.
This is the transcription of the burial records, which they have labeled as Date of Death. Thus the reason I made a note on his page, since he passed away 04 Aug 1980 as stated on his memorial.
My fingers clearly hit the wrong key since I had 1920, which I have corrected and apologize for.
Thanks again for your input!

Gail, thanks so much for merging the info into the newer one. The name change for the family does make figuring out who's who and what name they used confusing and difficult. Interesting bunch, that's for sure. We appreciate all the fine work you're doing and the investment of time it takes. You keep up the great work, also - it truly does make a difference.

Hi Gail, firstly thanks for all your kind work on Find A Grave. 99675332 & 162224785 are duplicates of each other. Sara Rosina (per her passport application) was married first to Harry Bert then to George Albert Brown. She did pass away with the Brown surname. Also her father, Arthur Hobson, changed the family name to Nelson, which they were all referred to as in their circus days. Might you please move Rosina's headstone photos to 162224785 and then delete 99675332? I'll send family links via the edit tab on 162224785 since the name is more correct, in essence. Thank you!

I see My mothers grave today and your name. Are you related to Ona and Edith Campbell of Iowa? I am the youngest of Alice and Pearl Bakers children .Edith Campbell was my dads sister . I remember her so well as we always visited them when we went to Iowa.
The last time I seen her was in 1972 or 73 as Edith and Annis Woods (dads sister) came to my dads funeral in Michigan .My mother didn't die in Iowa she died at my brothers in Universal City Texas and was buried in Mt.Clemens Michigan as you show you show.
My parents had 12 children.
I would be more than happy to share anything I can with you. you can email me if you like/

So sorry I haven't replied been away but I am looking into the middle name for both of us to be really sure and thought I would get an answer for you before I let you know.
Thinking about it funnily enough 3 males in my immediate family do have 3 names

Thanks, I did not know about the second marriage. If you want to see something even more confusing, check out Valvie's mother. She married her daughter's husband. It took me the better part of a day to unravel!
