RE: Walkup family
Wow I just cleared my board but copied it so yes I think I can help. Here is a brief recap:
only source rootsweb. I know that Samuel was Andrews son so you thought we had the same g-parents then your lineage down to you. Your age. You've no children, you have 3 brothers who had children and 1 sister with no children. You have also been in touch with a 4th cousin on the Ruggles side. You got my e-mail. gave me some info on the Ruggles and connection to President Abe Lincoln ( would like to know more on that and Mayflower info.)
You wrote quit a bit, so if you want to know more let me know. Thanks Kathy

RE: Walkup family
Hey Kris,
I was very excited about your letter. How did you find the info about the Mayflower an other stuff? There are many things I would like to find out but I don't know how.
I have been on find a grave for 1 1/2 years.
I am 62, we are about the same age.
How did you find out about me if you are not on Ancestry? Was it on the free trial ads?
The wealth of knowledge I could have attained of our family if I only would have asked questions when I could have!
My father passed in 1971 and my mom in 1975, so no luck there. I remember a lot of what he told me. But his sister told me different, like daddy said we were from Ireland and Germany and aunt Helen said no no we are from England and Ireland and I find we are from all three +. I am keeping your letter to refer on and reread. Thank you so much my, your cousin Kathy

RE: Walkup family
Hi Krista! Hope you are having a great day. I,m so sorry to tell you this but I am not directly related to the walkups. My sister-in-law is thought. Actually she is my husbands brothers wife. Her name is Rene Line Nee: Westfall. Her parents were James Westfall and Leverna Dayhoff, Leverna just passed a few months ago. I am on my lap top right and do not have access to the tree. But I would be happy to share my info with you. Maybe Rene would also like to contact you. They live in Calif. and we live in S.C. So you can see we don't have a lot of contact with them. I think I have only seen her twice. But Al, her hubby sorta ask me to check see what I could find and thats where it began. I do know they have a rather large Indian back ground from out of Kansas. Are you on Ancestry.com? Ok, Let me know if I can help you further! Have a great day! Sincerely, Kathy
