Hi Cindy, Samuel Bollinger b.1784 was the older brother of my 3gg grandfather John Bollinger b.1785. I didn't have a death date on Nancy b.1805 and Samuel's other wife was Eve Muhlheim b.1784. Samuel & John's parents were Jacob b.1751 and Anna Maria Hershey b.1762. Both born in Manheim Twp.,York Co., Pennsylvania, USA

|Ruth Phillips||Judge Bear?|
Cindy in reading our Great Uncle Roy's memoirs.., he mentions a Leslie Bear who's father was Judge Bear and that they were kinfolk of Mary Jane Wainscott.
Any connection? Uncle Roy mentioned that when he was
six years old he drove a 1903 Olds "Buckboard" car that belong to Leslie Bear. Was their a Leslie Bear Fuel and Grain Company in Madison? ruth

|Ruth Phillips||Henry Phillips & Mary Bear|
Hi Cindy..just looked at your Photo in front of Home Depot so I know what you look like! I spent a lot of time yesterday placing people with people..it is real funny, every time I go through my tree your family is there..ha ha.
This is what I found and did you know of these names or not..if you did, you probably didn't know who they connected with..anyway, here they are.
Henry and Mary Phillips children:
Nancy Jane Phillips married Lafayette Browns he is my husbands 1st cousin 4x.
Sarah married Nathaniel Brown he is my husbands 1st cousin 4x.
Solomon Phillips married Jane Ryker (no relation)
Eldora Phillips married Francis Marion Ferguson he is the nephew of the wife of my husbands 2nd great grand Uncle (Whew on that one)
Ida Phillips married Charles S. Brown he is the 1st cousin 4x.
and Charles E. Phillips married Vercie Wainscott my husbands 1st cousin 3x.
Did you know of these connections?
Did you know that Henry died of a goiter busting in his neck and choking him to death?
And did you know that Charles S. Brown shot his brother Lafayette to death (probably an accident.)
Also Lafayette, Nathaniel and Charles S. Brown were all the sons of Nathaniel Brown.
All those stories were on someones tree and were told by the Granddaughter Pearl Brown.
Let me know if you need any other info..Ruth

Unfortunately the questions you asked are still unanswered. I have gotten no further back, I have looked at microfilm from the Virginia area they came from but it didn't give any more clues. As to the name change I still haven't figured that out either.

Mr Booth is now transfered to you. The way this works is now you are the one who can add, make corrections, etc to his memorial site. It is a good opportunity for you to add family and/or military info etc. Even if you have a photo of him, you can add that as well.An obit or whatever you may want. I am not related but had worked in Manville Cem and wanted to honor the ones interred there. I only take what is etched on the stone and a photo of the stone and post. My hope is that a family member will find them and add to their info. That my dear is what this is all about. I will check and see how your 4xG Grandpa has become more than a headstone!
If you have more family here let me know and I will see what I can do.
Try this site
