My apologizes it has taken me so long to finish your request. Just too many back surgeries!

RE: Thank you!
Hi Sharon,

Sunset Vista provided me with the information regarding the cremation and no grave. However, if I were you I would write or call them to find out if their records show what happened to his ashes. 11357 E 40th St, Yuma, AZ 85367

Good luck!

RE: Roy French-Wellton Memorial, Wellton, AZ
Roy Thomas French married my grandmother Vada Bell Campbell French when I was 3 years old and was raised as my grandfather. The French family was from Pendleton Oregon where my grandparents lived for many years before moving to Idaho and then to Wellton, Arizona in their final years. I am about to add the rest of Roy's siblings to his list as they are all buried in Pendleton. After my grandmothers death Roy continued living in the Trailer Park he and my grandmother owned there in Wellton. I must say some unfortunate shenanigans with home care personnel occurred which lead to serious alienation from the family and it is saddening to discover that Roy is buried without a headstone. His family was once very prosperous ranchers in Oregon and Roy was a successful business man as well. Such is the roll of the dice.

RE: Do you live in the Yuma area? Would like to learn from you!
Yes, I do receive the Yuma Sun on the internet.

The SSDI is available on familysearch.org; on Fold3.com; at genealogybank.com; at Ancestry.com. I believe these are all free (Ancestry is a subscription service, but I think the SSDI is free). There are more sites that post the records, but I'm not sure whether or not they charge.

RE: Katherine Armstrong Hughes
Hi Sharon, Thank you so much for responding to my photo request and checking with the Town Clerk! Katherine lost her battle with Breast Cancer in 1961 (I'm a 10 year survivor). I will keep searching. Thank you again for all your contributions on this wonderful site. All the best, Cindy

RE: Do you live in the Yuma area? Would like to learn from you!
I am a snow bird, so live in the Yuma area during the winter. Information that I post is from obituaries published in the Yuma Sun. One potential source of information is the Social Security Death Index (SSDI), but there are times when that can create questions. For example, you posted a memorial (actually you have posted two) for Jose Rodriguez, b. in 1951; d. in 1984 (according to grave marker), but the SSDI gives his date of birth as June 3, 1950..... !! One memorial is #12895332, and the other is #129099485. You need to delete one of those.

Another possible source for you would be to go back through earlier issues of the Yuma Sun. I believe you can do that online.

I'm afraid this isn't much help to you. There are times when I utilize census records to build a history for a person on one of my memorials, but in the case of those in Yuma county, it is simply what is published in the paper.

RE: Thank you for the tombstone of Sylvanus Elwood!
Always glad to take photos in this area for those who need them. I too found findagrave in the last year and find it has an amazing amount of information. It will be nice when everyone is eventually posted on this site. It is nice when you come across those that have some history and not just the date they were born and died. Also who their spouse or spouses and parents were. Too me the more information the better.....Jack

RE: Do you have Contact Information for Norton Cemetery in Essex County, New York?
No I don't. I had business near there one day and my plane got in early so I looked up a couple cemeteries to take photos of. I don't know anything about it (I don't think I even got out of my car).

RE: Contact Information for Norton Cemetary in Essex County, New York?
Sharon,

I was there in 2006 and took several pictures, but do not know any contact information about the cemetery which I believe is located in the Town of Keene and the Town Hall Officials (Town Clerk) may know who to contact.

Thanks for the kind comments about my efforts.

RE: Dalton L. Nordyke
For adding your Grandpa, you are welcome. If you have info to add to his memorial pls let me know. I also see a dup memorial added to the Rosefield Cemetery by J. Nordyke Hart. Since Charlie has added the stone picture I would be 99.99999 percent sure he is here and not the Rosefield Cemetery. Since you are related, I'll let you contact Ms. Hart.
