Peggy Sue -- Thank you so very much for the 'thank you.' As I get older, I find that I really appreciate someone taking the time to simple say 'thank you.' BTW, you are most welcome! If there's anyone else in the area that you need a photo of, please don't hesitate to make the request!

|Cathy @ Heritage Oaks Memorial Engraving Service||photo request - Sharon cemetery|
Hi there! I was in the Sharon cemetery this morning. I was able to locate the monument of Eustus Knight and his wife for you.
I did not 'claim' the request but I will be adding the photo for you asap.

|Joel Manuel||Joan Kerstein|
Hi, her obituary was on the funeral home's website (and I suspect both the Eunice News and Lafayette Daily Advertiser as well). She was a good friend of my parents.

|Scout Finch||RE: Teutsch|
I don't know, there are a lot of Teutsches in that area, though. There are also quiet a few in North Louisiana. If I see anything about it, I will let you know.

|Danella W.||Margaret C. Shaw|
Thank you for trying to photograph my ggg grandmother's gravestone. I imagine it was knocked down/ destroyed over the years by the highway mowers or a wayward car. From family records we know she is there & from your excellent description of the cemetery, it sounds like she is in one of the now unmarked, sunken gravesites.

|Danella W.||James Shaw|
Thank you SO much for searching for James' gravestone! Your thorough description of his family cemetery helped me understand why his stone can't be found. I added that info in a note on his Find-a-Grave memorial page so people will know asking for a photo is fruitless.

|Amite History||Brown-Crum Cemetery|
Please note that the Amite County & Genealogical Society has added a few photos to this cemetery. Two overview photos are awaiting your approval.
*Also please note that for the grave marked "Ervin" we can now see his name was Erwin Cassedy Cobb. Father's initials are also on this marker so that is of value as well.

|Bonnie D.||RE: The Knights of Washington Parish|
I'm not related to the Knight family. I formerly worked at the Washington Parish Library and helped people doing family history. Since I'm no longer there, it is difficult since I don't have access to the records.
I do have some records at home if that will help you. I have a good many obits.
If you need a look-up, I will glad check my records, just let me know the names.

You might try Bonnie D here on Find A Grave.
She has helped me with my family and I with hers.

I just took some pictures at New Salem cemetery, and put them in find a grave. I am not related or anything. I try to find out as much information as I can and post it in the record.

Zettie Bea's mother and my Grandfather Johnson were sister and brother, so we are related through the Johnson line. I am only connected to Knights through marriage.

Yes, this is my husband's and two sons' family line and we would love to have the obits. I have been gathering information for my husband and his mother for some time. If you have any further information on this line, I would love it, especially pictures. My email is email@example.com. Thanks so much, Rebecca

|Rebecca Hynum||Amy Knight Ross|
Hi Peggy Sue -- you recently asked that I transfer Lessie Amy Knight Ross to you. Just wanted you to know that she is my husband's g grandmother and my two sons' gggrandmother. So I think I will keep her. Sorry I have been remiss in getting all her information on Find A Grave and will do so shortly. I have a lot of info on my Ancestry register and in some places I have not transferred everything to Find A Grave. It's nice to meet you. Although, we are not cousins, the rest of my family is. Would love to share information with you if you are so inclined. You probably, however, have more info than I do. Husband Glenn's mother is Rebecca Ann Flowers , her mother was Edith Ross and Edith's mother was of course Amy Knight Ross. My family also hails from Mississippi and is part of the Millsaps family so I have been tromping the fields of MS since I was very little and have been in quite a few of the cemeteries there. Another segment of my family is buried in the old Shaw cemetery in Lorman, which was massively encroached upon when they paved and then widened Hwy 61. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Would love to hear from you. Rebecca

|John Mallory Land||Thomas "Tom" NEWELL, Mem. #62179386|
Thanks for your message. I am not kin. I lived in Dallas, Texas until 2 1/2 years ago, when I moved to Columbus, Georgia. I happened to be visiting my brother and his wife, who live in Refugio, for Thanksgiving when I posted that memorial. We had gone scouting around to several of the local cemeteries because that's what I like to do - and it was my birthday - so I guess that's how I came to post the memorial for NEWELL. I don't recall at this point anything much about the cemetery, for instance the two fallen grave monuments you asked about. I will be glad to modify the NEWELL memorial for you or transfer it to you, if you are interested in maintaining it. Have a great week! - jml
