Do you happen to know the exact name/location of this cemetery? I live in Floyd Co, GA and there are several New Bethel Churches in the area. See below:

I currently find three "New Bethel" churches listed for Floyd County, Georgia. They are shown below:
(1) New Bethel Baptist Church, Weathington Dr., Rome, Floyd Co, GA ~ 706-291-8939
(2) New Bethel Congregational Methodist Church, Floyd Co, GA
(3) New Bethel United Methodist Church, Floyd Co, GA

you have him listed at New Bethel Cemetery and as the child of Julia A and Thomas Gilbert Davenport. Where did you get that information?. They had a son but his name was Harry or John H L and is buried beside them at Damascus. Just curious

Cornelius " Neal" Martin Starcher

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Hardman-Conrad Funeral Home for Neal Martin Starcher, 88, who died Monday in Gordon Memorial Hospital after a three week illness. The Rev. Orland Reynolds officiated followed by burial in Gibson Cemetery in Calhoun County.

He was the last surviving Roane County Spanish-American War War Veteran and was born in Calhoun County April 18, 1877, a son of the late Jacob and Margaret Sampson Starcher.He was a member of the Stoney Point Baptist Church in Calhoun County.

Surviving are his wife, Grace; 9 daughters, Mrs James Bowers of Greenville, Tenn., and Mrs W. H. ( Thelma ) Carpenter, Miss Edna Starcher, Mrs Judy King, Mrs Harold ( Ora ) Bowley, Mrs Elanor Goodrich, Mrs Rhoda Griffin, Mrs Russell (Eloise) Smith and Mrs Homer Starcher, all of Spencer; two sons, Harold and Deo Starcher, both of Greenville, Tenn.; two half sisters, Mrs Ora Tanner and Mrs Burke Saunders, both of Spencer.

Also surviving are four half brothers, Vince, Lexie, Gay, and Lockard Starcher, all of Spencer; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
