Karen thank you so much for the explanation on the photo of my aunt Martha Carroll. I knew my great grandfather John C Carroll was buried near her, but never knew exactly where before reading your narrative. There are 2 infants buried closeby that I have never heard mentioned in my family conversations, Earl Lee and Rose Marie Carroll. I'm sure they are my relatives too but just don't know how. Thanks again for the comment. It helps a lot!

McKinnon
Hi Karen,

I do appreciate the pictures you have posted on the McKinnon family. Since the one on William and Elsie and the one of Virgie are so small that I cannot read them could you e-mail those two pictures to me so I can use them in my genealogy pages for the McKinnon.

If you can just send them to pjcarson56@cox.net. I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Phyllis

Hi Karen,

Yes, this is the right one. Find a Grave just had his name misspelled.

This one I could click on and it came out enlarged so that I could read it very plainly.

Thanks again for taking the time to get these picture and posting them.

McKinnons
Hi Karen,

Thanks for the pictures of William and Elsie McKinnon and for Virgie Mckinnon. I appreciate you taking the time to go to the cemetery and getting the pictures.

When I click on the pictures they usually give you an enlaregment of the picture so you can read the inscriptions better. These did not enlarge - do you know why.

Thanks again.

Karen -- I guess I question the photo shown as his gravestone. The only grave shown in your photo is for Martha A. Carroll. Any response?

Hi Karen,

I appreciate the posting of the pictures of the stones for Bellevadora McKinnon and Thomas McKinnon.

I really do appreciate all you volunteers who take your time to go to the cemeteries, take the pictures and then post them so that those of us who live to far away can see them.

Thanks again.

RE: William and Rhoda McKinnon
Hi Karen,

You have gone above and beyond in yur picture taken and I appreciate it.

Bellvadore is the second wife of William McKinnon after the death of Rhoda. Thomas is the son of William and Rhoda. William and Rhoda also have a daughter buried there. Her name is Frances Rickshrew and her husband is James Rickshrew. They have several other daughters but I don't think any of them were buried at Polly Creek. I was checking that out this morning aftr I got your first picturs on Find A Grave.

I tried to get Rhoda's stone figured out. I was able to make out most of the writing except the line just below the name of Wm. McKinnon - it looks like Born________________Va. She was born in Virginia and I think it was probably Wythe County, Virginia and I think that might be what it says, although it is just too faded to be sure. The rest I got okay since I knew the names and dates it was easy to put them in.

I would appreciate if you could add the picturs to Find a Grave and I will get them off and add them to my tree.

Thanks so much.

William and Rhoda McKinnon
Hi Karen:

Thank you so much for the pictures of the tombstone of William and Rhoda McKinnon. These are my grat-great grandparents and I was happy to see them. It took several years for me to be able to trace them thrugh my genalogy research and then to finally get a picture of their last resting place is just awesome.

I really appreciate all the volunteers who take the pictures and put them on Find a Grave.
