Jesse Gordon
I just uploaded a picture I took of Jesse's headstone in 2009. I took it at the Stearns-Lindsey (or Lindsey-Stearns) Cemetery in Pomona. I included all this information in the description of the picture. Let me know if this helps!

Yes, a Find A Grave friend of mine started separating the cemeteries. I'm not sure Jesse's headstone is still legible. I will check the photos I have from the two cemeteries and see if I have one.

RE: Mary Ann Hatfield Zang
Deborah, I generally make memorials with information from the inscriptions on the stone, and photographing them. I have some contributing friends who come along behind me and try their best to link them to their families. I'm having them see if they can find where the Hatfield came from. It could also come from an edit. I'll let you know as soon as I hear something.

Glad you found some concrete evidence. No biggie, he's your family anyway. Thanks for letting me know the outcome!

Deborah, it was clearly a matter of trusting someone elses findings that apparently have wrong data. I, like you did not find a DC, but that is not always that unusual. In this case, something is clearly wrong and I will just take his Memorial out of the picture. Thank you. Pam

RE: Pansy Shafer Calvin
That is the only info I needed, thank you. I have posted a photo of her marker on her memorial. I have connected Jimmy Calvin to her.

Pansy Shafer Calvin
I have a photo of a marker for a Pansy D Calvin and I would be happy to add it to your memorial if they are the same person. Do you know her spouse's name? That may help to clear this up. Thanks.

I see you did already suggest the edit for him. :) It's great now that they give you a date, when it will be processed. I hadn't seen that before.

RE: Vera (Polson) Brooks
Hi Deborah! Thank you for the message. I am not related to the POLSONs except by marriage. If I have any other pictures of the family, they are unidentified. I do have many that don't have names on them. If you send me your email address I will put in my computer with Vera, and let you know if I discover anything about Logan, John, or Reuben.
One tip... you may already be aware of it, but did you know that you can add parents to a memorial, even if you are not managing it? It is on the edit tab. It will need to be approved, but sometimes that happens pretty quickly.

I just looked on Google maps and it is there. THe road is East of Long Branch Lake. Go up that road to Javelin Place. Javelin place runs right into the apartment or duplex. The gravel back lot runs against the cemetery site. On the sat. view of google maps it is covered with a canopy of trees!,+MO+63552/@39.7753711,-92.4997127,292m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x87dd4d25893d2c1f:0x863439db8c1f4fc6

RE: Felix Baker Cemetery
That cemetery has been forgotten and more or less abandoned. If you go up the road there by long branch lake there is a duplex or apartment on the west off a side road with an animal name. The parking lot for this apartment runs right up to the trees. If you walk into the trees there you will start seeing stones. They are buried and turned over. I would imagine that lots of them are missing. I guess people just stopped taking care of it years ago and this s what's left. One other warning about that one is watch out for the poison oak. I got into it there on one trip! Maybe some people can find out about returning it to some kind of decent condition(for whatever is left).

I hope this helps.

Happy to do it. While I was at it, I discovered that Velma had no memorial so created one. Also added photos to memorials for infant sister Ardela and parents Frank and Mary Lou. All five family members are in close proximity.

RE: Martha Ann O'Herron
Thank you again Deborah,

I was aware that Martha's mother died early on and that William was left to raise his children so yes, it is possible that Sarah came later or that Rachael was Sarah. The one thing that leads me to believe that my Martha is "your" Martha is that, according to her obituary, is that included in her children listed were Henry Mann and Albert Shoop. She was married to William Henry Mann and according to what I see on "Find-a-grave" Martha had a sibling with the last name of Shoop. I have most of my notes but somewhere, I let this one slip but I recall that Martha more or less adopted Albert Shoop because his parent were killed in the Civil War. Now, I have that as a memory only so can't claim that until I find it again. Other similarities are Novinger and Adair.

The picture that I posted of Martha came to my sister and I after we took a trip to Iowa and actually traced ourselves to a living relative who had pictures. What a great trip of discvery that was well over 10 years ago. And thanks to, I tapped into the William Sr. family (what a gold mine that was)

RE: Bagby Cemetery
no,,, no mound, but they are all in the front row from the last headstone to the south fence line. All in the west fence line The numbers & names are really unknown.
Names & numbers were never passed on. I was told that they came from both the Battle of Rowen Tanyard
& a skermish at the Bagby Farm. Bill Andersons brother, James Andersons Raiders. Who were staying at Owen Henry Bagbys farm.
When the roadgrader widened the road, I was told that it uncoverd some remains.
The 2 CSA headstones are of Bagby's. Tom & Wm.
E-mail me to discuss the posibility of placing someone in this cemetery. Tell me about your Document please.

RE: Martha Ann O'Herron
Hi Deborah,

Thank you for the input. The information that you provided regarding William McFetridge Jr. and Martha I also had but after going over notes with my sister this weekend, she had a document that said Martha's Mother's name was Sarah. Because of my conversation with her, I'm really confused but still feel somewhat confident of her relationship to your William. Martha was previously married to William Mann before she married my G,G Grandfather and had a son named Henry.

I do thank you for your post

Kind regards,

Tim O'Heron
