RE: Re. Laura Matilda (Stahl) Reinhard
Thank you Kitty for approving the edits I sent you and for transferring John Bortz to my care. After years of researching my family I have finally gotten to Findagrave to try to update and provide the information I have gathered on my family, so that they can be documented and remembered through their memorials. I appreciate yours, and others, help in this project. I especially appreciate the work that local folks have done in putting these people on Findagrave with their locations and tombstones. Your work is priceless!

Catherine was the first wife of Aaron and later married Metz. I found the memorial of her daughter that has suspected her to be the daughter of Aaron: Find A Grave Memorial# 79786329. I will contact the other memorial owner so we can combine the records and delete one of them. Thanks, KimH

Regarding Wm Buchert
After enlarging the tombstone, I believe this Wm Buchert was one month 12 days old when he died. So he couldn't be the one you are looking for. I could be wrong... but this is what I can decipher ..

RE: George Shell(1811-1890)
Kitty,
There are two separate Goshenhoppen churches. They were cited as separate entities by William Hinke in his translation of records from both in 'A History of the Goshenhoppen Reformed Charge . . .', 1920.
Both now fall under the UCC denomination. The Old church is just south of Woxall, and the the 'New' one is about 15 miles north, just SW of East Greenville. I believe the New church became more prominent, based on the number of records, relative facility size, etc, but I have not been to the Old church grounds.
Some of the confusion about the whereabouts of Michael Schell's grave may have to do with the membership of a Michael Sholl/Scholl at the Old Church who came from a different lineage.
Only Michael Schell's sons Michael, Jr. and John were documented members of New Gosh., but I have concluded their father was probably buried there since he is referred to in records there, and because was John was his executor.
I don't know who placed the modern centotaph at New Gosh. for Michael and John. I am convinced the dates on it for Michael are inaccurate. John's dates match those from his original tombstone(in German) placed behind the modern stone.

RE: George Shell(1811-1890)
Thanks, Kitty,
Your work may help solve the mystery. Your Peter Schell may be a Jr. or III as I have determined Michael Schell, Jr.(!726-1783) probably had a son Peter b. <1760 who was named after his maternal grandfather Peter Lauer. This Peter Schell and progeny not to be confused with the man from western Berks County of the same name. Our Peter had two brothers: Michael(III) and Jacob. All were apparently born <1760 and lived either in Berks of SW Lehigh County.
I have seen Michael Schell'Sr.'s cenotaph at New Goshenhoppen Ref. Church Cemetery--It's in the old section in front of the original stone for his son John Schell. As far a I know, there is no duplicate stone at the OLD Goshenhoppen Ref. Church, so I don't know why that post still exists.
Regards,
Roger

Wilson? Schankweiler (105305622)
I have add the notes you sent on Nathaniel and Wilson.

Did you want me to go ahead and change the memorial which you believe is Wilson's to reflect his name and birth dates?

Not sure what information you have, but here's what I can tell you. Based on the series of photos I took at the cemetery, the stone for Wilson is next to Nathaniel's. I also show that the stones for Maria (wife of Daniel Schankweiler), Benjamin & Sarah Schankweiler, and Charles Schankweiler are very close by.

Please let me know if you'd like to me to update the memorial with the name and dates you provided.

Thanks!

I did not know my Samuel was a twin till we did more research a few years ago.Samuel(b-May 21 1803)came to Rose Twp Carroll cty ohio in 1837. and lived their the rest of his life. He is buried in Waynesburg cemetery with his wife Catherine. They had 5 children most stayed in Carroll or Stark counties Ohio. Samuel father is George Born Longswamp Becks PA 1754 who is buried in Old Zionsville Cemetery Leigh Cty PA-with other family members. George's father is Theobald-wife Ann Meer-their children all born Longswamp. His sister Anna Barbara married Peter Butz-all buried Longswamp Union Cemetery Mertztown Berks PA. Theobald buried there but no stone- burial info we got when we researched the family. Their parents are Johannes b-1690 and Anna Maria b-1687-lived in Germany. Anna and Theobald came to US in 1739.
Thanks for the message Hope this helped

RE: Andrew (Andreas A.) Kriebel photo
Hi Kitty -- Turns out I was wrong - there are 2 separate Schwenkfelder cemeteries (Towamencin and Worcester) that are miles away from each other. I did find many duplicate entries between the cemeteries, so at some point I've got to get that cleared up. If you need to contact Find A Grave, click on the left panel under "Discussion Forums" -- the first topic is about Cemetery Corrections. You have to sign up to post an issue. Don't know if you've tried emailing cemetery@findagrave.com . Either way, explain the issues and send them links to the cemeteries.

RE: Jacob Schantz
Google "Chronicling America" for imaged newspapers. Only a tiny fraction of the nation's newspapers were imaged. You can search imaged newspapers with a two-word (not more) search, but searching isn't always successful because some pages are blurred, faint, torn, etc. You can narrow a search to: State; a specific publication; a date-range, etc.

Elemina Jordan
Hi,
We are vacationing in San Diego and while antique-ing the other day, I came across a Certificate of Birth and Baptism for Elemina Jordan Muir and William Muirs daughter Mary. I think it is the same Elemina as this one. Are you a relation? Being the genealogy enthusiast that I am, I came home and looked her up. I can send you a photo if it is.

Star Kline
East Texas Cemetery
This is definitely a duplicate of the Salem Cemetery in East Texas. I asked the people who created the original memorials to move them to the correct cemetery and promised to delete my duplicates when this was done. Only one person has not yet moved her memorial, so it is the only memorial in that duplicate cemetery. I also asked the administrators to merge the two cemeteries, but that has not yet happened.

John Baran Sr.
Kitty, sorry for the delayed reply regarding John Baran's parents. Unfortunately I don't know where they are buried. John's obituary said he was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bethlehem which used to be on Hayes St. If his parents lived in that area, the closest cemetery is St. Michael's on 4th Street in Bethlehem. That was the original Catholic Diocese Cemetery in Bethlehem but it closed around 1926/1927 and the Bethlehem Diocese cemetery is now Holy Saviour. There is an Anna Baran listed in St. Michaels on find a grave but no John. The only Slovak cemetery in Allentown I can think of is St. John the Baptist on Fullerton Avenue (behind the church.) Sorry I can't be more helpful. Dennis

Kitty,
Duplicate cemeteries are becoming more common unfortunately. Once created they cannot be deleted. Findagrave, when requested, will consolidate them but it takes quite a while. Thanks for the updates on these memorials.

RE: Conrad Headstone Pics
Hi Kitty,
I posted the picture and have been working on linking Charles Conrad's children. This is Paul V Conrad's line, however, I am interested in linking all Conrad's in the Johann Peter Conrad (1737-1789) line.
Thank you for the Find A Grave Memorials and pictures. If you are related to Charles, I will transfer family members to you.
