Hi! The maiden name came to me via a SAC -- I see no indication in the obit for it -- if it was sent since the new drop down system came in I may be able to find out who sent the maiden name change. I hate to admit it, but I mainly entered only the most basic info into Holy Cross. I was working through obits for a while and got burned out though.

I'll let you know if I can see who sent the maiden name.

Should I delete it?

I transferred Lillie and her parents to you. Please do not remove the bio I entered for her. My wife is a retired U.S. Navy Yeoman and Lillie's memorial means a lot to her because of her service in the Navy and her history there of. She is part of a collateral line and I'm not a direct relation.

RE: Thank you!
You're very welcome Monica. I figured that you would like both instead of just one. Let me know if there are other family members you'd like transferred....

Henry Jerome
Thank you for searching for his headstone. The San Mateo death record site shows he was buried in Holy Cross Menlo Park on 6-4-1891
I made a note on his memorial that there is no headstone.

RE: Irene L. Griffin
Thanks so much, Monica. I did not know there were 2 Holy Cross Cemeteries in the same approximate area. I apologize for causing you extra work. I hope there were other good things that happened that may have made your trip worthwhile.

Mary O'Leary,
I re-requested a photo of Mary O'Leary. It seems you have her mixed-up with a Henry Jerome, 129460061, as stated in your email.

Irene L. Griffin
I am truly grateful for your effort in regards to finding Irene's grave.
According to the SFGenalogy website, she was supposed to have been buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, San Mateo. I will do more investigation and see if I can come up with a more specific location. Thank you again for trying.

can you adjust the photo so it is right side up?
I can do this but you would need to delete the one that is there

Thanks for taking the picture and getting it done so quickly. Do you mind if I put the picture of his headstone on my family tree? I do like to ask before using the photo. Thanks!!!!

Dear 'Bosch',

Could you give me your email so that I can send you private emails about the genealogy of the Bosch family?

Response -
"You have sent a number of suggestions to me regarding my relatives. I will respond to all of them here:
Unknown Bosch - #105169294 can you provide me management to my relatives grave?"

>>Since this is an unknown, unsure how you would know it is a relative? The site tends to frown on collecting names rather than relatives. I have no idea who this person is. I'd love to know more, if you do! : ) A virtual cemetery is useful to keep a collection of a certain sirname or line of research. Do you have any intel on this Bosch?

"You provided suggestions for Elizabeth Madaler 105716242 - my Aunt- saying she was already entered at Holy Cross Cemetery? I'm confused as to what is required since I made the entry? Can you kindly give me a little more information?"

>>I had entered her previously in the correct Holy Cross. You had entered her in a duplicate cemetery someone recently created, and the admins have now merged it with the large and correct Holy Cross. Anyone can create a cemetery and many times people do so, without checking to see that one already exists. I am shocked at how quickly the admins merged these. It was done within 24 hours... Yay, them! I deleted my entry, in favor of yours, when I sent the request to merge. So basically -- "never mind..."

"Maria Madaler 105716021 "Please move your entry. She is not in the Database." You may want to update the database. This is my great grandmother and she is at Holy Cross. I visit the grave and she is located exactly where I have noted in Find A Grave."

>>same as above. The entries have been merged. The database is not 100%! She may surely be at Holy Cross, but she should not have been in that particular entry for a Holy Cross, and there are other Holy Crosses in the area; since the entry was in the wrong Holy Cross, I thought I would mention the lack of an entry in the cemetery database. Many of the people who had been entered in that duplicate cemetery, had entries NOT at the Colma Holy Cross and had been placed there as a good guess. I was sending a form letter, case your entry was possibly referring to a different Holy Cross than I was assuming.

"Conrad Madaler #105115878 - Can you give me management control? This is my ggrandmother's oldest brother."

>>Done! But please delete the duplicate entry that now exists.

"Lucien Madaler #105716097 I'm sorry, again I'm not sure what is required? You state "please move your entry there [Holy Cross Cemetery Colma]. The database shows him as a burial for that cemetery". I believe that is where I do have him entered? Can you clarify for me?
I want to be responsive but not sure what exactly is being requested."

>>He was in the duplicate Holy Cross, not the Colma Holy Cross, and the admins have taken care of moving him. Yay them! All is well with Lucien Madler's entry.

I hope this is helpful. And thanks for the quick response! Every 90 days or so, someone has created duplicate Cypress Lawns, Holy Crosses, even National Cemeteries, particularly in California. That area is just a bear to research in, because of all the removals and reburials and so on. It's just always going to be an ongoing issue.
