Hi Boyd, I have been doing pics and entries at Rest Haven. I added 2 on the Clawsons. I see the obit for Nina gives another cemetery, but the marker is at Rest Haven. Thought you might like to know. Carole

Please give credit to the newspaper and date of the obituary. This could be placed in the caption of the photo of the obit. Thanks very much.

HI,
I'm a decendent of Thomas, as well, via E.C. You must be talking about his D.A.R. and S.A.R.
From what I was told he was too young to "legally" serve and he was put thru when adhering to the rules were rather lax. However, his father George was approved. Sandi

RE: Nancy Ransom Oakland cem.
Thank You. I admire that you knew E J is appropriate. It is a long history of the use of middle names to distinguish family members with the same names. ( Not siblings but cousins. ). My research on the Ransom Family of Margaretta Erie Co. is tracing Judah Ransom as the so of Captain Amasa Ransom of Colchester Conn. Still investigating bur Capt. Ransom may have taken part in the ill fated attempt by the Americans under Gen. Montgomery to Capture Quebec. His son Judah born circa 1780 later settled in the Firelands of Ohio and built and captained Schooners on the Great Lakes. One source says his was the first schooner to unload cargo in the port of Chicago. I will let know if an when I learn more.

Nancy Ransom Oakland cem.
I am researching the death of Judah Wells Ransom, Husband of Nancy Ransom (Colt). Judah died in 1840 as captain of the schooner Helen Marr. All hands were lost. It has been reported that aboard the ship were two of Judah's Uncles. They were said to be veteran of the American Revolutionary War. I believe they are the two Ransom's buried in Harrison St Cemetery (Cholera Cemetery) in Sandusky. Any way of knowing if this is true ? Were their bodies recovered or were monuments simply placed in their honor back in the 1930's & 40's ? Thank you for checking.

Hi, I don't know about his wife and mother. I can only assume they are there. His mother was cremated at Forest Lawn Glendale, but she is not there.

dear Boyd, Find A Grave will not allow me to delete this memorial because you entered it originally. I have tried to contact Find A Grave as instructed, but no luck with that. I will return the memorial to you and lets see if that will work to delete it. So sorry, but I find Find A Grave difficult to deal with sometimes.

Dear Boyd, I thank you for the transfer of the above to my management, but Find A Grave will not allow me to delete that memorial because I did not originally create it. I tried merging the two memorials without success. Would you please just delete it? and I hope my messing with it won't prevent you from taking that action. Thanks again Kathryn

Thanks again for your work and for the transfer to me. I hope your historian finds something about my restless ancestors. Just when you find them, they move. Thanks again. Planning a trip this summer. Hopefully will stop and see Pliny. He, at least stays put now.

Thank you, Boyd Weber, for entering my grandfather's identifying info. Impressive--you confirmed with his death certificate, but used the correct birth date instead of the error on that certificate! Marda (Jackson, formerly from Wellington) Godsey

Thank you for sharing Olive's death certificate on her memorial. Her parents are my 3rd great grandparents. It is very satisfying to be able to connect parents and all of their children.

RE: Gregg
Thank you Boyd,
I'm hoping someone will take a photo ( i requested one today) of the tombstone for Clark Gregg who died in 1862, so I can see if the dates fit for Lucretia's son Clark Gregg. If not I will look online to see if the Hayes presidential library has an obit for him. The other Gregg's maybe related to her husband James.
Thank you so much for the transfer & for putting Lucretia on Find A Grave! She was 90 years old when she died.

RE: Ben Wolcott
Thank you Boyd, It is good to know the circumstances. I can only imagine what a life they had. May I add your story to my Ancestry tree? I will of course note the info was from you.
I gather you are related to the Wolcott's..? Nice to "sort of" meet you. :-)

Hi, I have been taking pictures at ST. Mary Cemetery in Avon. One side of the cemetery is not in find a grave. I have different dates for Joseph Schneider and wonder if there are 2 of them.
