Requests at Fairhaven Cemetery
Hi Karen: I noticed you requested several photos at Fairhaven Cemetery today. This cemetery is not friendly to volunteers and as you will notice requests in this cemetery with no location are hardly ever worked. I do the best I can on those that do have locations, but the cemetery has 80,000+ burials and is over 60 acres. If you have time and can call on these as a family member, they will give you the information. I hope this is helpful to you. Chris

Winnie Woodall

I added a photo for Winnie Woodall. She doesn't have a monument in place, but the plaque from 2003 is still there with her name and dates. I also added a photo of the full grave site.

Helen
Appreciate the update
Thanks so much for looking for my Sarah Jones in the Montrose Cemetery, your gesture is greatly appreciated. I am wondering if the sheer number of people who passed away during the great Flu epidemic during that time were buried hurriedly as several of my other ancestors during that time don't have headstones either. It would be awesome to locate her obituary to determine if she truly is where the death certificate says she is buried. I have a few instances where the information is sometimes listed incorrectly, perhaps the family changed their mind. The search will continue. Warmly, Helen

RE: Margaret Brown Peek Vance
Hi Karen, thank you so much for picking up on my error in Margaret Peek's cemetery listing. Her obituary does indeed reflect that she was buried in Mount Morris so the correction has been made. I appreciate your attention to detail, it must have been a late night when her memorial was created. Warmly, Helen

RE: Richard Francis Gyles
Hi Karen, thx for letting me know. I searched Find A Grave prior to adding but couldn't find. What do you think? Should I delete elmwoods? I put a comment on his elmwood memorial about Belgium memorial. Check it out. Lemme know your thoughts. No problem to delete if it creates confusion. Find A Grave should allow alternate links lot solve this situation as I've seen this situation before for soldiers killed overseas. Thx
