Sorry to say we didn't make it to the Cemetery, but we do plan on making a trip in the spring when the weather is warm so we can take our time to look around. We also want to visit a couple of Cemeteries in Bond County. Thank you again.

|Deb ||Thanks so much|
I want to thank you so much with all your help in the research on the Brown Family, you were so helpful. I'm still amazed on all the work you and the rest of your group did on Vincent Cemetery. I believe My 3rd great Grandfather (William Nuburn Brown Feb 3,1860-1845) is buried there in one of the unmarked graves since two of his daughters and 3 grandchildren are there, and it was so close to where they lived. I still haven't found where his father Wilson Brown 1785-1850 is buried. What a pleasant surprise meeting you by chance that day.

Yes you may use the obit. When you do that let me know so I can remove the memorial.

Hi. I am a direct descendant of Elijah Canfield and his 2nd wife Sarah Maria Griggs. Elijah married Nancy Elizabeth Grear nee Craig in Montgomery County, Illinois in 1874. I have found out yesterday when Nancy died and that she is buried in Craig Cemetery. Do you know when Elijah Canfield died and where he is buried? He is alive and with Nancy in the 1880 census for Audubon, Montgomery, Illinois. Thanks for anything you can share. Brenda firstname.lastname@example.org

|Sharon B.||RE: Tolle/Toelle Family|
Thank you for writing! My husband's paternal line was originally from the Biermann's of Hanover, Germany. Little was known of this branch of the family until I began researching shortly before my mother-in-law had passed away.
Several members of his Biermann family immigrated from Hanover, to the U.S., prior to 1850. Most had settled in St. Louis, Missouri. According to what I had been told, my husband's great-grandfather had been born in St. Louis, in 1856, and his father (Heinrich Wilhelm) had been born about 1829, in Hanover. This information has been researched and documented.
However, his direct connection to Henry G. and Louise Biermann, has yet to be confirmed, even though research is on-going. As you may know, Pauline Louise Iselle and Henry G. Biermann were married on the 15th of November 1855, and her parents George and Mary "Tolle", were reported to have been both born in Kentucky. They were parents of 6 children! Believe they had resided in Rushville, Schuyler, Co., Illinois, at one time.
Since a direct connection has not yet been established and documented between the Biermann's you are searching for and my husband's family, you may want to continue to try and locate Pauline Louise Iselle's surviving descendants.
Gustav H. Biermann, their son had died in 1931, in St. Louis County, but was survived by his wife Clare. Gustav was buried in New Bethlehem Cempetery, in St. Louis, on April 02, 1931. His death certificate stated that his mother was indeed Louise "Toelle"! In the meantime, I'm continuing to research for the family's Hanover connection!
Thanks again for writing, and am hoping you will be able to reunite that long, lost song book with the direct descendants of it's original owner!
Best Wishes Always,

I'm not related to anyone by that name so transferred the memorials I had made to you so you can do as you please with them. I did not do any linking before transfering. Perhaps you would be able to do that? CHeers.

Thank you for doing something that doesn't involve your family. I live so far away in WA state and don't have a lot of opportunity to see things up close and personal.
Again thank you from my family and me,

OK LaVerne.....but I don't think I've ever sent you a direct email. I always use the edit tab on one of your memorials or the "leave a public message" link. Sorry 'bout your email account getting messed up. There's so much stuff out there these days to be careful of. Hope your computer is ok!! Tammy

HI LaVerne - I decided to take photos of the entire cemetery that day, and I'm SLOWLY (!) adding them. I like being able to help out other researchers and adding any info I can. Great thing for us to be able to work together on this.
Take care - gwen
