Hello, I am Ronald Overton's daughter. From speaking with my brother Ron he thinks you may be Aunt Gloria's daughter. I would really be interested in knowing more about his side of the family and possibly if I have any other brothers and sisters. The records at the bottom showed 8 birth certificates. There are four of us Ron, Clifford, Leon and myself.

Last chime...
Jacob Lawson seems to have had the middle name "Barnett" (not "E.") His parents were Jacob Moses Lawson and Elizabeth Hart (according to Ancestry).

I know from census records he was born in Indiana - - Ancestry has two county possibilities: Madison County and Clay County, for his birth place.

I did find their marriage date...
1 Jan. 1867.

Jacob born 1842 in Indiana. 1880 census shows Jacob was a "widower" living with his kids.

I have two very rare photographs of Ann Guthrie (daughter of David Guthrie) & James Guthrie (son of William Guthrie.) James Guthrie's father was William Guthrie. And William Guthrie was the brother of David Guthrie (who was th father of Ann Guthrie.)

RE: Mary Ann Guthrie
Hi Donna:

You descend from James Guthrie and Ann Guthrie (1st cousins) - - who had a daughter named Mary Ann Guthrie (you say she was "Ann", I somehow have her middle name as "Eleanor")

James Guthrie was the brother to my direct ancestor: Francis E. Guthrie.

Both of these brothers left Richland County, Ohio and moved to Dallas County, Iowa. James left first...followed by Francis a year or so later.

I show Mary "Ann" maried a Jacob E. Lawson, who was born 1 Jan 1842, in Dallas County, Iowa. He died before 1900 in Dallas County. I don't know their marriage date. I show Mary "Ann" was born 20 Jan 1846, in Richland County, Ohio and died 9 Aug 1877, in Dallas County, Iowa.

Do you have vitals on Jacob ? Where are they buried ? (I know little about this "branch.")

As for her marrying twice...that is certainly news to me, Donna ! Never heard that one.

Lincoln Memorials
Hi Donna, I have transferred all the requested memorials over to you and was very happy to do so! I always feel it is good to have memorial pages with their close family. Best wishes, Jan :-)
