I was back at oakland and I rephotographed Jesse and Randell headstones. Sorry I took so long, as I kept thinking I had them in a sim card. Live well David Sharp

I thought I had pictures, but can't find them in file. I delete sim card when I slid them to files and I must have lost those. Will be back at Oakland again, and try to remember to get them. At least I know that they have stones. Thanks Dave

I found them by accident. I really thought from the description that they were in Clifton Hill, But there they were. LOL. There are 2 other corner's there and I made memorials for them. David

RE: Mary Corner
I believe that from the description, that you have them in the wrong cemetery. There is an Oak Grove Cemetery that is north west of Clifton Hill. Cemetery notes and/or description:
Located in T55 R16 S27 on the east side of CR 1040 (the Randolph-Chariton county line road)1 1/2 miles north of Rt W.
This puts the cemetery in line with what you have on the memorial. They should be in Oak Grove, not Oakland, as Oakland is in Moberly. Hope this helps you get them in the right place. David

I see her memorial is in Oakland in Moberly, but the location seems to say she is buried north of Clifton Hill. I am just curious before I go to Oakland looking for them. David and Susan Sharp

I don't know him. All I did was walk cemeteries and get info from the gravestones. I'm sorry I don't know more.

I saw your request for Mary in Oakland cemetery and on the memorial it gives a location of West of Clifton Hill Mo., which is 10 miles west of Moberly. I am wondering if She is in Oakland or in another cemetery at Clifton Hill. There is no Corner's listed on the Oakland map by this name. Let me know what you find out, as my wife and I walk Oakland almost every week. Live well, david and Susan Sharp

Sherry,

You are welcome and thank you for your response. Please refer to Find A Grave Memorial# 107093187 for the correct spelling. Go to all Wises in this cemetery link and you will see all with the correct spelling. I will ask the owner of the Wife memorials to delete them.--Storres

re: Hazel Hardesty
I wanted to follow-up on what I found when I last visited the cemetery. It is my belief that all of the headstones that can be identified have been photographed. I took a list with me of the memorials without photos and only located three. There is no way to identify the others. I wish that I had better news for you.

RE: Hazel Hardesty
Hello Sherry,

You are very welcome. I, to, was disappointed that I didn't locate her grave. So many of them are either in very bad condition or there is no headstone at all. In the cases where there is no headstone, a cross, some are wood, is placed where the grave is believed to be located. The wood is almost gone. The other Hardesty's are easy to locate. They have substantial headstones.

I am going to the cemetery again this week. I will continue to look for hidden graves. The cemetery is not that large.

Regards,

Gene Funk

Hi,

I found the gravestone for Grace Gerry and added a photo. I looked for Harry Gerry, but had no luck. I will be trying to contact the sexton to find the plots of the other requests and will keep Harry on my list.

Hi Sherry

Sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to you.

This appears to be Maude and Frank in the 1930 US Census:

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XCJP-NB6

Is this them? It has Maude's parents as born in Canada, but her born in Colorado

Aaron

James Walker
Hi Sherry, I came down thru James's daughter Jane Patterson Walker which married John Richie Inman. He was the son of Major Abednego Inman that ran with Daniel Boone. Glad to meet you.
I also come down thru another Walker family branch that when you go back in time far enough they tie back to the same Walker.

Gods Blessings to you and your family

RE: Maude Quigley
Sherry,

Thank you, it was my pleasure and I do love this area -- it is a quiet and peaceful spot in the back, surrounded by beautiful trees and lovely homes on the other side of the fence. This cemetery is very charming and it's tended to by kind and caring people who are also warm and friendly. A very good choice by your grandfather.

Many blessings to you in the New Year,

Chelsea
