Thank you so much for adding this obit. It answers some questions for us. Eliza is my wife's 2x grandmother. My wife just completed a book about this family. It will be out in the Spring called "Almost Home: A Civil War Love Story."

Thank you for the transfers of Maud Whitlock Hardy and Isaac Newton Whitlock. I read your bio and certainly agree with you on transfers. I have had a miserable time with two contributors. I guess the know more about my Aunts and Uncle than I do, of course they don't.
Thanks, again, my husband was named after Isaac Newton Whitlock, his greatgrandfather and his grandfather, Isaac Hilliard Hickman.

Thanks so much for creating his memorial -- it's greatly appreciated. Michael Egger was my great-great grandfather, so it would be wonderful to have him transferred to me.

Thanks again!

Just wanted you to know that the memorials that you transferred to me early this year are still bearing fruit. I'm working on the prior two generations now, and I should reach the 18th century before long. Thanks again.

RE: Alonzo Mendenhall
you are very welcome. This cemetery is is terrible terrible shape. I am going to contact the trustee and see what needs to be done to get a restoration under way. It is beyond ridiculous how this place has been neglected! Because you have family there let me know if you are interested in helping in any way at all with a restoration. I have a friend who does this as a professional and once I talk to the trustee and find out about funds I will then contact other family members as well if I can get in touch. I am related to the Galbreath's that are buried there (distantly) so am taking this one more personally of course. I have found at least five Civil War and one Revolutionary War soldier buried here...all stones in poor poor condition...it's a travesty :(
