RE: John Ottis Smith

You're very welcome for the photos, Patti. Wish I could have found a marker for you. I usually add the cemetery location with the verbiage in the first photo. John's location was "D" Plot, Lot 1946. Called the cemetery a second time to confirm, when there was no marker.

I'm trying to figure out how to email you privately without telling the world my email address, I am on facebook as Suzette Martz so you can send a friend request and I can message you my email address. I remember his brother and sisters, Donna and Dallas too.

Dear Patti,

My name is Suzette, I was Randy's girlfriend many, many years ago when I was just 19 (through 22). We remained friends until I was 27 when I moved across the country.

I awoke two years ago at around midnight with Randy's face in my mind and I instantly knew he had passed away. I hopped out of bed, ran downstairs and googled his name I was saddened to find my intuition was true when found his obit. I had no way to contact anyone in his family. I flew to Ca last year to see my family and tried to look up Ida Huff, to no avail.

Again, last night, Randy popped into my head again. I was compelled to google and this time, I found you. Please contact me. I am so sorry for your loss. Randy was a beautiful soul with a beautiful heart.

I would, except, I am not the owner of that memorial. US Veterans Affairs is. Go to the edit tab and request transfer from them.

Find-A-Grave acting up again. Should be 2 photos for Ray. Haven't been able to upload anything to Find-A-Grave since, including those for Clinton.

Hi Patti,

Sorry Roy was found to be buried in an unmarked grave. I did run across a Clinton Whitsitt in another section of the cemetery. I will addhis grave marker.

Hi Patti,
Yes, Calvary Cemetery is a Catholic Cemetery. It is under the management of a huge Catholic church there.

Hi there,

My son and I went to the Fort Smith Public Library and searched the Calvary Cemetery roster to locate Domenico's grave site. Unfortunately, Domenico's name is not on the listing of the grave sites.

Sorry... I was hoping to get a photo for you since I was visiting the cemetery.

Thelma Zerboni photo request
I am unable to find a gravestone for Thelma. I confirmed the location from surrounding markers, probed the area to a depth of six inches, but there is nothing there. I did take photos of where the marker should be, and the area of the cemetery, and could post them to her memorial if you like.

Section 30 is one of the older sections of Lone Fir and there are more missing stones than there are markers.

Please let me know if you want the photos posted, or if you would like me to email them to you.
