Henry Short (I)'s Children
Thus far I have been able to find 4 children of Henry Shorte I b.1580 and Elizabeth Ashely of Totnes, England.

Son, Henry Short II b.1601 who married Sara Glover b.1601. I have found 2 death records for Henry Short , one for 1672 and another for 1673, but no indication as to who died on which date.

Son, Anthony Short b.1604 married a woman named Ann, there is no record of any children.

Daughter Dorothy Short b. 1590 married Richard Kent. Newbury, MA

Daughter Elizabeth Short b. 1606 married Nicholas Holt and moved to Andover, MA she died in Nov.1656 at Andover.

Apologies for the delay in answering your questions about Ancestor Henry Short.

I have 3 Henry's in a row. Henry b.1580 in England d. Newbury came to Newbury MA USA 1634 widowed with his sons and daughters & husbands. I found clues that his wife was Elizabeth Ashley born and died in England.

He had son Henry (II) born 1601 England, came to Newbury 1635, died in Newbury 1673. Married to Sarah Glover.

They had several children including Henry (III) born 1652 in Newbury and died in Newbury. He was married to Sarah Whipple of Ipswich, widowed, then married Ann Sewall Longfellow. (Her uncle was the famed Judge Samuel Sewall of the Salem Witch Trials) She married a nephew of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, poet.

Hi T.C.
I must confess that I was helping a friend start on her genealogy quest while she is visiting me.......I've been working on mine six years now. Last night, she started a guest membership on ancestry and entered her immediate family. She mentioned that she had never seen her parents headstones so I showed her Find A Grave and found Nancy.....so we requested a photo. You were so kind to respond and in such a timely manner! We checked the site today and there it is! She is thrilled and will be contacting you very soon to thank you. I am going to show her how to join Find A Grave. I took her "graving" with me earlier and we took some photos I had answered a request for. Thank you so much for demonstrating what a wonderful and helpful resource this can be!

RE: Hunt Family Cemetery
I am at a loss as to where this might be. I have an idea that it would be on a family farm as there are ony two graves. I am struggling with finding records for this family. The descendant has sent an application into DAR and it has been rejected. Her records were scarce and taken mostly from a book which the DAR genealogist does not like! I am helping her to get this resolved.

I do hope the person who created this memorial will be able to help.

Thank You!

Henry David Denson
Thank you for photographing the grave stone of Henry David Denson.

Like you, I initially wondered about the DOB. It was listed on his death certificate as 1874. However, I was able to determine that he was born in 1870 because he was listed in the census that year.

Many times I have seen erroneous information given by well-meaning relatives on death certificates.

Did you happen to see any other Densons buried near Henry in that cemetery?

Thanks so much!

Lately, I can't blink an eye without these two new people claiming the requests instantly - you inclusive. But I don't go around incorrectly chastising people. Let's look at each others stats. You have been a member 20 months, taken 229 photos and filled 48 requests. I have been a member 17 months, taken 87 photos and fulfilled 17 requests. I really don't need to be lectured by you given that you have fulfilled 3 times as many requests as I have in a similar time frame.
