You're welcome - I'm glad the info was helpful too 😊
Always nice to be able to transfer a memorial record to someone who can add more info - especially family.

All the best with your research & for doing all that you are doing!

- Linda

Hi Connie,
I transferred the memorial to you. I had another family who said the deceased was buried in Ortley. The information I entered in the Hope Cemetery was based on a SDGenWeb site, and have discovered significant inaccuracies.

For that reason, the transfer. This will allow you to correct any descrepancies.

Sorry for any confusion on the Clinton Pearson memorial.

Thanks, Dianne

Connie, I liked your suggestion and simplified her last name, There was not an edit to add Helen's husband waiting to be approved but linked not only her first husband but her second one as well. Take a look and let me know if there should be any adds/changes.

Clarence and Orlando Serum
Dear Connie,

I have more! May I have permission to use the photographs in any publications I might have in the future for the headstones for Clarence and Orlando Serum? Both have roots in Selbu, Norway and served in WWI.

Thank you!

Hi Connie, I just transferred her to you. A lot of my memorials, I just add to Find A Grave hoping someone is looking for them, and they are not forgotten. Take care, Bob L.

Thank you for alerting me
Adjusted the date per marker, apparently my source was just a bit off.

Thank you for catching my typo--it has been edited. The similar photos were both posted by another member, so I cannot delete them. When I encounter that, I add the memorial to a virtual cemetery, until I have 5, then send a request to for deletion of the duplicate. Since you are kin, would you like a transfer? I have no connection. If so, please just send your request via the edit tab.

Check to see if your local library and county library subscribe to GenealogyBank. The Seattle Times is digitized and is available through this database.

To check databases go to the library website and see if GenealogyBank is listed. You can usually log in remotely using your library card number and pin.

As far as family photos - I learned it is best not to post them on line.

Washington State Digital Archives is also helpful:

RE: Sylvia Hedman #38840628
I dont have a problem with her memorial being there, I just want anyone who is seeking her to know that she is not buried there which was the reason from my edit. I am researching her to see if I can get a idea as to where she might be. But from ancestry and her memorial I gather she passed away in Spokane, Washington, which is in eastern Washington and Retsil is in Western. I live about 10 minutes from the cemetery, and have walked every inch of it seeking to note who is buried where. There is no marking on the other side of her husbands marker, as I check all sides since there are a few that have anywhere from one to four persons buried under one marker.

RE: Sylvia Hedman #38840628
Well, whether you call it "Row" or "Section" it is the same. I call them rows since they are in rows, with individual lots/spaces. Therefore I suppose we are speaking of the same thing. Anyway, I am sure she is not buried there. I have spent the last 2+ years walking every inch to take pictures of all the headstones/markers to ensure they were on Find a grave. Also have documented each grave there and who is in it. As per this list, and others that I have gotten, Oscar Hedman, her husband, is buried in row/section 96, lot/space 34. You listed her in 96/22 which is occupied by Edwin C. LaPlaine. Unless you have additional information to prove her burial there, I cannot find any evidence to indicate she was laid to rest there. Thank you for replying to my correction. And thank you for helping me to try and keep this cemetery listing as accurate as possible.
