Reuben Clyde Ventis # 96430680
I believe this Reuben Clyde Ventis is the brother of Mildred G. Ventis Stephens # 169512504 .
I knew Mildred and Reuben for many long years. Mildred and her husband Fred lived at the old Ventis homeplace in Powell, TN at the end of Ventis Lane for many long years. An interesting footnote for those who may be interested is that Mildred and Reuben were 1st cousins to Archie Campbell of Hee Haw fame(who also lived in Powell just down the road about a mile from Mildred).

I have her death certificate. It gives her father as George Clevenger but her mother is listed as unknown. Would you like me to send a copy of her death certificate?

In addition, one of the family trees on ancestry.com shows her parents to be George Clevenger (1847-1880) and Lucinda Martin (1844-1908).

Morgan Lane
I am sorry Robert, but there is no stone for Morgan Lane in the Grove Hill Cemetery. There is record showing where he is buried, but no stone exists. It is uncertain whether or not one ever existed or if it sank or deteriorated through the years. This section of land in the cemetery is Section G - donated. I do not know if this means the space was donated for burial, or if this section of land was simply donated to the cemetery. There is a Section G adjoining this G-Donated location. Only 10-15 stones are found in this section and none of them have Morgan's name on them.

I did find the 1880 census for Morgan Lane. It suggests he was born about 1862, so he at least can now have a birth age.

The next day it gets sunshine here, I will take a photo of the section to place on findagrave.

Your welcome. No there was no lamb. it is an large upright stone. I will post another view of it but you cant really read too much of the stone but you will at least see another person's stone as a reference point. Michelle

Thanks for trying to locate his tombstone. It says on his death certificate that he was buried in Mt. Harmoney Sept 22, 1922. So maybe there was no stone. Thank you for trying, I appreciate it very much!
