Capt. Robert Crane King
Hi Family Hunt,
I received a message that you had posted a map of Hollywood Cemetery where my ancestor, Capt. Robert C. King is buried. What a thoughtful idea! However, the map has not shown up on his memorial page. If you can, please do add it. He died so far from home (Louisiana)that it is nice to have a clearer picture of where he is.

Many thanks for your thoughtfulness and concern.
His GGG Niece

Do you live in northern Indiana? We live about 45 min. from where Levi is buried north east of the town of Bristol, IN.

Thank you for the information on the mass graves and the map you added. Genealogy is about the little bits of info that add up. Now I have one more piece to the puzzle.

Thank you, Charles Piland

Levi Grove
I was so excited to find the wonderful pictures you have of Levi posted on this site? I am Elaine (Grove) Rhodes, a descendant of Levi and Nancy (Murphy) Grove's son David. See: http://carl.rhodesfamily.org/pedigree.php?personID=I199&tree=Carls. I had never seen these before. I am posting a photo I have of Levi and Permilla and their children. Do you have the original photos of Levi Grove?

RE: James T Blizzard # 41302313
The interesting thing is there are
three Blizzards buried in Hollywood Cemetery and none of them are related.
The Hon. James Wesley Blizzard is one whose family I have studied for
decades. The other, Pvt. Hosea P. Blizzard, is the son of John Fountain
Blizzard of Lenoir, NC and Elsey Pollie Gray whose line was R-y-DNA tested
at my FTDNA Blizzard DNA project.

I can understand war dead being buried in a massive grave. But my husband's
great-grandfather had been in Lincoln Hospital, for two months, where he
died. I just feel James T. Blizzard is one of the 10% with a single grave
site, even if he doesn't have a tombstone. I have his two page internment
records online. There are two pages that look alike but are not, and here is
a link to page two where it says at the bottom of the page that he should be
buried with honors and signed.

I have looked everywhere on the memorial and the cemetery site for the map of the soldiers graves you said you posted, but I can't find it. Is it possible to send a copy to me at bj_neel@hotmail dot com? Thank you for your time and trouble.

RE: Elisha T Sexton # 23292138
I made a copy of the map and then went back to his memorial. The map was gone!! Someone else created his memorial and has control of it. But I thank you for posting the map. I asked for a photo because he was a relative of my husbands.
Best Wishes to you and take care.

Dixie Lee Culp Tucker
Dixie and I were best friends until she moved to Az.
I visited her when she was living in Ft Worth. around 1985. Dixie would call sporadically and we would talk for hours. BUT, she was NOT a letter-writer. She moved often And I would have to wait for her to contact me with a new address.
For many years I have tried to find her. I am saddened to find her here.
Can you tell me anything about her/Kimberly/ Rhonda ? From her tombstone i assume she was a Grandma ?

Hi Kkristione,

I've added all the info you suggested except for a links to her grandparents. I know that's possible, I just have no clue how to do it. If you can give me instructions, I'll gladly add that, too.

Emma B. Brooke Shafer Vergin
I have linked Emma to her biological parents per your request and added biographical info you helped me provide. The records do suggest that the Shafer surname was that of her adopted parents and not a spouse as there is a marriage record for her to Carl Vergin. Take a look at the bio and see if there's anything else you would like to add.

Emma Vergin
Hi. I found Shafer as Emma's maiden name. It appears on her wedding license to Carl Vergin, and her parents David and Lydia Shafer were living with Emma and Carl on the 1930 Census, designated at the father and mother-in-law to head of household Carl Vergin. Could yours be a different Emma perhaps?
