Larry&Sharon EASTERDAY
George Pearson, Rochester Cemetery
The Cemetery at Rochester has many overgrown burial spots with parts of broken tombstones.
Pearson markers could be in there. But not found when there some years ago. LEE

RE: Esther Cunningham photo
Hi Donna

Esther is my 4th. great grandmother. How are you related? The photo was sent to me several years ago by another of her ancestors. I'm just getting around to uploading some photos onto Ancestry.com and find a grave.

Thanks for your message.

RE: James P Hadley line
Don't have any family stories at this time, sorry, wish I did. The website for the book is https://openlibrary.org/books/OL25072076M/Portrait_and_biographical_album_of_Livingston_County_Ill

If you select pdf on the right, once it's loaded the book, you can save it to your computer. It will take a while since the book is like 150MB or so. James P bio is on page 910 & 911 per the book pages and on page 908 is a portrait of him with his signature.

Or if you select at the bottom of the page under the ID Numbers and select the Internet Archive link, it will open a reader for you. Select the full screen and at the bottom of the page is a slider to fast forward to where you need and he's on pages 914 is the portrait and at the bottom of the 1st column on page 916 starts his bio. You can right click on these and 'save pictures as' and just save the pages you want.

Which of the James P children are you descended from?

Yes I'm getting 3 Ebenezers (actual 4 if you count James P's older brother) too. I'm a bit confused on who the middle Ebenezer's wife's name is....the bio says Elsie but other documents I've found says Jemima. I'll figure it out eventually. For the oldest Ebenezer I have, I found a document that lists his wife's last name as Abigail Spaulding. Got lucky on that one.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any trouble with the book.

Steve

James P Hadley line
Hello,

I saw your post on another headstone (for James T., which is in the wrong place, he's in Shelby, Iowa) My name is Steve Duysen and James P Hadley is also my 3rd great grandfather which (according to a chart I have) makes us 4th cousins. I'm through his son James T. Hadley's line. I have found a couple of books on Livingston County that gives a bio of James P that is interesting. If you need anything on this line, let me know and I'll try to see what I can come up with. I'm currently working on the Hadley line for my genealogy.

I found Jessie and Hugh. If I had been more diligent I would have seen this before. No dates on the stones. There are a Wallace, Jessica and Eliza Campell also, but again, no dates. Also some Campbell Rew stones next to them. Cheers, Bob

RE: Jane Paulk Pearson
Hi Donna,

Thank you for your quick response! It is nice to meet you via email.

Jane was my great, great, great grandmother on my mother's side.

I really appreciate the information. Do you have any other info on Jane McGuire, such as date of death, etc.

Take care,

Paula

I do remember some Hempstead headstones (made of marble and weathered), but nothing as new as 1982. Cross your fingers, I will check this weekend. Let's see. If you want to know and photograph an unmarked site, they have a plot map that shows exactly where people are buried in the lot (grave # 1,2,3 etc.) They will send you a copy for $5.00. But I can ask and I think they will show me the spot if I can't find it on my own. Your info is a big help. Regards, Bob Lerch

Jane Paulk Pearson
Hi Donna,

I am new to this website.

I am a descendent of Jane Paulk Pearson. Do you have any information regarding her mother? Only her father is listed in the information I have seen.

Thank you.

My mistake, note left at home. I will go back and take another look. There are more stones behind the monument. Sadly, two of them are not readable. I can ask the cemetery if there is/was a marker and exactly where she was buried. I added the photos to the other Jessie - Thanks for letting me. Bob Lerch

Donna: In July 2012 you had a Photo Request for Musette. At that time I tried to find her grave but was unable to do so; I think it was because I was looking in the wrong section. I did find it in Section H and posted the pix; but your request had been removed. Just wanted to make sure that you knew a photo had been posted. I found an old request list that had been "saved" and this is how I got your name again. Ray

RE: Cunningham, Pearson memorials
Donna you are welcome. You are doing such wonderful work at getting all this information together and on the site. I figured the least I could do was to sponsor them. I had a little time yesterday to actually read the options of things that can be done--I truthfully never really worried about the ads--but in reading the stories of the originators of the site, etc. I realized this all has to be costly. Thank you too for the latest info on our great-great Cunnningham grandparents ( think that is what they are….first time I have ever heard their names. Dianne Cottrill

RE: Huntleys in Leavenworth cemeteries
Donna,
I went out to the cemetery and looked all around Elizabeth's area but found no other Huntleys.

I went to the library and it lists info for Joseph as DOB: 1845 and DOD: 1933

There was a listing just as "Huntley" under Bethel Cemetery, Alexandria Township but that's all it listed. Sorry I couldn't find anything else.

RE: Huntleys in Leavenworth cemeteries
I can't remember if it was a photo request or if I just took it when I was out there. I'll go back out and see if there's any others in that area and I'll also check at the Library.
I'll let you know what I find out.

Hi Donna
Our family is interred in the Carlyle cemetery. I noticed that you had added in a Joseph Johnpeter (our surname) no dates. (And I noticed that you have Johanpeter as a surname.) Please enlighten me as to how you might be connected -- and where you found Joseph's grave.
Thank you

Your welcome, Donna. It is a very nice stone. I'll add it to the other members of the family. I also took photos of all of the individual name stones and I'll add them as well.

RE: Greetings!
I had lost track of you, too.
Please Remind me how you think we might be related as I seem to have forgotten.
I've found either two or three different branches of the Pearsons' in my research over the years and I haven't been able to link all of them together yet.I do know I had kin in Kansas,
Oklahoma, and points west as well as here in Missouri & Iowa.
I,like about everyone else have a Facebook page if you would like to talk to me there instead of on here.
