RE: Margaret Odom
Hi Jean! Usually, anybody is welcome to anything I post on Find A Grave. In this case, however, I didn't take that photo! And I don't know who did - for sure. It was on an email which Walt and Linda forwarded to their friends after your mother's passing. The email originated with one "John Mondi" so HE may have taken it. If you send me an email - - I will then forward his email to you and you can ask him directly for permission. (I'd rather not post his email address on this message board.) Or, of course, you can ask your sister about this. She'll know who took the pic! Tom

James M through James T. Williams
Hi Jean....I've been working on this Williams line in spurts since "forever." The only real document I have linking my James T. circumstantially to a brother Frederick S. (+ his wife and child), Stephen (listed as S.) and an eventual link to the Harveys through Zara (James T. marries Susan Harvey) is the 1850 Telfair census. Even then, it gives no relationships....just living together. The mother (apparently) is living with an unmarried daughter Susan in the same county. Again, no "real" relationships given. "We" (several great-grands) are looking for a male descendant of James T. (preferably through Pembroke) who still carries the name and would do a DNA test.....paid for by us. If you know anyone, let me know. Pembroke had 14 children....8 males, only 5 had children. My grandfather was the oldest and his son died at 16. I have seen the DNA on one of Stephen's descendants and it pretty much proves that the Stephen-James M. line does NOT go to Col Wms/Kings Mt. Did James Wms (killed by Indians) leave a will actually naming his children? I have seen the statement "7 orphaned children" with no proof attached.

Rita writes:

That is not what I have. Christian is right, but Malcolm is not. I have Malcolm b. 1792, died between 1862 and 1866. We have the documents putting him in Jones County, Mississippi in 1862.

I asked Rita what she had and she responded with the above. So I do not know.

Mem# 71155820

Thanks for the confirmation. I always felt Malcolm first name is William.
I have little info and trying to piece it all together.
Do You Have a Esther McPherson-Weaver or a Mary Jane McPherson-Price?
Thanks so much for giving me this info.
I had John F McPherson, in Sellers Cem Butler Co Mem# 71155820 Correct. But I did not have a second marriage for W C The father. I have Esther 1819 as a child and Daniel Giddens McPherson 1828 185.
Recently someone linked my GG Grandmother to this family and since I know little of them,I am not sure. Mary Jane McPherson-Price1835 is said to be sister to John F and Esther1819.
I had Mary Jane McPherson Mother as Mary Brogdon1812 who married a William McPherson1813.
Any further help will be great on this puzzle.

I have Christian Elizabeth Philyaw-McPherson as His Mother and Father is MALCOLM McPherson or William Malcolm McPherson(1792-1862)

Can you confirm this or do you know his parents?

Anything will help thanks Charlotte Ann Price

The Williams brothers
Hi Jean.....I'm the Great-Great Grand of his brother James T. Williams. If you have proof of STephen living past the war, let me know. There is an S.M. Williams who served in the same unit as lot of those Williams boys - tthe Hardwick Mt. Rifles which became the 7th Cav - his S.M. Williams died in 1864. I'm curious how he's related.

RE: W.W.Wright
On Google I just typed in the search box: William Wright death 28 May 1839 in Bulloch County, Georgia and several websites came up. I just kept looking and found it. I just don't remember which website I found it on. Google is an amazing browser. I use it all the time to find info for my geneology.

RE: W.W.Wright

All I know is that William Wright's parents are Benjamin and Ava Davis Wright. I have not researched them to find more information. I see that you are related. I am a descendant of Sarah O'Neal. She is my 1st cousin, 3x removed. Small world huh?

If I find out more info I'll let you know.
