James & Bette Holland's granddaughter
Hi Terri,

I am an old college friend & roommate of Chloe Holland, daughter of Robert A. & Avis Holland. I know she died in Hawaii in 1996 but I don't know where she was buried. I believe her father died there too. Avis died in Eugene, OR but also don't know where she is buried. I'm really looking for Chloe's brother, Leo, if he is still living. I have a picture of Chloe & Avis in Pasadena, CA from when they were visiting me in Jan 1987. Thought he might like to have it. You can email me at my regular email as on my profile if you think you might be able to help me.

RE: Ruth Norton
I did find the connection with the Woods nest to Ruth and Lennos. Frances was Ruth's sister.

RE: Ruth Norton
I did not find an obituary online for Lennos. Would be great to put it with his memorial.

Corrections have been made. I was going by the information that the cemetery records had. Their headstone is unique as the one next to them, the name excapes me at the moment, but it is square with a circle out of it, the exact size of the Norton's marker. Also added Ruth's obiuary. It says she and Lennos were married on June 8, 1941, I believe.

RE: Lee R. Hasting
Hi Terri,
Thanks for the transfer. Please don't feel embarrassed of the spelling. The cemetery records had it spelled the same as you did, LEER. If I hadn't found his obit, I'd never have known any difference. Since I've just added his obit and more info, I went ahead and changed it from LEER to Lee R. I appreciate the transfer so I could update his memorial. Thank You for all your work with Find A Grave. Have a great weekend!

RE: Thomas William Shields
Hello Terri:

Thank you so much for looking for that grave for me. His death certificate says he is buried there. Maybe he has no marker but I am relatively sure he is buried there.

I cannot imagine why they would tell you there is NO Shields buried there as his son and daughter-in-law are both buried there with grave markers. This is Haskell Cemetery in Haskell, Muskogee County, right?

Thanks again for all your efforts!

No grave

I'm sorry there was no grave. That's frustrating to look for one and it not be there. At least we know he does not have a stone or may not be buried there like we thought he was.

Thank you for your efforts,

Pam (Milliken) Redmond
funeral records
Hi Terri,
I know what you mean, I've done the same thing myself, while searching a name sometimes a name show's up and sometimes it doesn't, not sure why that happens. Any way your were asking about funeral records, I think one of the old funeral home's in Skiatook was Rogers, some of the information you can find at Historical Society's, Town Museums and the older funeral homes such as Peters. They are sometimes in paper work form and not on a computer and you have to be willing to do the leg work and hunt and peck, hope this helps answer your question.
