THANK YOU
I'm so thrilled to receive the picture of the Kendall's. Thank you so much! I see you have another request looking for Charlie Kendall. Charlie was my fathers and grandfathers name sake. I can't seem to find my grandfather Charles Kendall who also died around 1980. Any sight of him in this cemetery would be a tremendous thrill for me.

Ellen, You almost always find the most interesting people to photograph and for me to research. I like digging and trying to think like they might have. Not always successful for sure, but still I enjoy the digging.

I had taken a photo of Edna H. Carpenter--we had some computer issues here at home. So, hopefully soon I will make it back out to Greenwood and retake Edna H. Carpenter
Just in case you were wondering. Sue

RE: Ever Heard of this Cemetery
I decided to keep adding what I have been working on. I knew this was on the horizon. But I have worked on cemeteries for years and there are some in Randolph Co. Doerun City and Sunnyside in Cordele. I would like to work on them for the sake of the folks buried there. I feel they are someday going to charge for usage. It would be better for them to just go up on Ancestry fees, but that would not include non members. As I said, I am doing very little work and I love the site, but I will not pay for its usage.

You know that Find A Grave has been bought out by Ancestry. That is a good change that they could make. Thanks! Brenda

RE: I'm So Sorry...
Thanks, for the nice message. I am not really leaving, just taking a break. I may start back again, but my main concern is the folks who never do anything for the site but complain and Find A Grave does nothing. They need to step up and take up for the people who are just trying to help folks find their ancestors.

People who don't follows the rules
Thank you so very much for putting yourself out there on my behalf. You didn't have to throw yourself into the fray like that but you've put a smile on my face for doing so.

If this person who makes up the rules as they see fit, creates BU's & fake cemeteries, and has the same command of the English language as that of an average 8 year old, expects to fool anyone by claiming to be an attorney, they are sorely mistaken.

22 of the 28 memorials that this contributor has created have no DOB or DOD - 19 of them are BU's. The cemetery they named "Clueless" is empty but I'm afraid they are now "plopping".

I had the temerity to ask this little group of "entitled to do whatever they wants" to delete BU's over 30 days, delete BU's created for non-recent deaths, delete duplicate memorials, asked them to move memorials from an incorrectly listed cemetery to the correct one - I am such a witch! How dare I ask anyone to follow the rules; how dare I care if this website is accurate or not.

This is the unfortunate puffed up attitude and bluster of those who don't like getting caught doing things they know they shouldn't and get even madder when you call them on it.

Again, my humble thanks for speaking up. You're a good egg. :)

Your friend,
Emily

Innocent Until Proven Guilty
COUNSELOR you should know better than to make accusations against someone without sufficient evidence. Your friend is arrogant. You coming to her defense isn't going to change things. It's all here say as far as I am concerned. You made your comment and know I make mine.ind your business. You had no other reason to come to my site except for the reason to harras me. My entries are not bogus. "Everyone needs to be remembered" that's the memory here. Because all information is not known does not mean the person should be forgotten. Take the victims of flight 800.
You and your friend need to tend to your own memorials. If you care to share a suggestion with another that is notable. Do so with kindness and not malice. I have 17 people who all have been approached by your friend who all seem to say the same. She is not a nice person. That is fine
But do not expect others to stand back and take what she says kindly. Suggestions have been . Now is is time to be on your way. Worry about your doings. Administration has been sent all arrogant messages and harassing messages. Let them deal with it.
BTW, I don't published my personal information in my bio. I know better. It doesn't make my memorials bogus. I too have two degrees. READ AND WRITE four languages and can sign language.
Thank you for your attributes to the site.
Let's not turn this into a brawl because I deal with criminal law but limited to internet.
Have a good day and enjoy your online time.

RE: Turk Family
My co-worker, R. Turk is going to bring in the Turk genealogy book put together by the family. All the individuals with the Turk surname that I have found so far in Northern Georgia are all related. The current tombstones for many of the family members that died in the 19th century were not placed at the time of death - these replaced older markers. I will see what documentation this book can provide.

RE: Intentional Duplicates
Once the links and changes have been made I will delete the duplicates. I do extensive research into the families, census records, State databases, obituaries, cemetery records and in with the Turk family, family members. You are the first person that I have every worked with that made find a grave less enjoyable. I hope to do photo anywhere that you don't have records posted, much less aggravation.

Thanks
Thanks for the transfer to this UFO (Old, Fat & Ugly)! Not only do I spend many hours a day on my own ancestry & Find A Grave but also an officer with the Rich Family Assn. (RFA) and attempt to submit updates to Find A Grave memorials for the many separate Rich family lines out there..

Thanks again, Don

Edmund Bass
Ellen,
I did look in the Pleasant View Cemetery for Edmund but found nothing. My guess he's probably buried in East Braintree where his parents are. The Pleasant View Vault is a place for temporary storage until the ground thaws out. It doesn't mean that they are buried there. If you want to change him to East Braintree Cemetery and make a photo request I'll look for him next time I'm there. If he's not in East Braintree you can move him back to Pleasant View.
Bill

RE: U. S. Flag Token
Ellen,

You're quite welcome, and I appreciate the sentiment.

I passed through Moultrie a couple years back, taking photos of Vermonters buried in national cemeteries in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. If I'd known Mr. Kimball was there at the time, I'd have stopped by and taken a photograph (and left a US flag on his grave).

Regards,

Tom Ledoux
