These are so incredible Bill, and the wide shot of all of them just breathtaking. I am so grateful for all your help in what became quite a project. To say nothing of snow, ice, sleet...

Thank you for picking up the tombstone photo request. I have at least two sets of dates for his birth and death from recognized published biographies ~ which obviously conflict with each other ~ and only one William Banks Slaughter who died in Wisconsin and accomplished what he did. This is one of those moments we need to see what is actually carved in stone and what makes Find A Grave such a blessing. Thank you for volunteering to take the pictures. Cynthia, holding her breath in Wisconsin.

Thanks so much for your message. I was very curious as to who this person is who has taken this photo of my mother's marker. :-) I was so happy to find this online, as I couldn't find anything online about my mother, and I have posted it on my mother's memorial page. I too have lots of family in Pleasant Hill...many Ottos and I think some Hansons. Maybe I will see you there sometime, visiting our respective ancestors. :-)
Thanks again and take care,

Hi - I haven't worked on my family tree in ages and now that I've updated the software a lot of data is scrambled. I've also had computer problems since then and now am trying to make friends with Windows 7 on a new laptop. That would be a new laptop that needed a new hard drive inside of six months...arggh!! Off the top of my head I can't answer your question. I don't erase my Find A Grave messages so it will be there to remind me. Good luck in the meantime - Nancy

I have added the links to Elizabeth's parents. Would you like a transfer? Will be happy to do so. If you see family of yours I have created, please don't hesitate to ask for a transfer if you would like.

Yes, I do live in Crawford County but have not used the courthouse for research in a long time. Have been to both Mercer and Crawford County courthouses in the past and found Mercer County's to be much more researcher friendly.

Thank you so much for the photo. I think there may be a slight problem. When I look at Elizabeth Matts Jones memorial page on Find A Grave William Jones headstone appears. The photo under William's headstone photo I think may belong to a different family. If you have a photo of Elizabeth's headstone it would be appreciated. Thank you William

Thank you so much for taking the
photos of Herbert DeLevie's head-
stone. You have really helped
complete a lovely memorial. I
hope you had a chance to read
the bio section, as it explains
the significance of the house
design on his headstone.
