RE: Anseth Baptismal Records
You won't find a church record for Elise as either she was stillborn or died very quickly after birth therefore no baptism was done. I don't see any death records for Our Savior's Lutheran - the church they attended in Evansville - just baptism, confirmation and marriage. The wonderful volunteer at EHS actually pulled the records for Mound Grove cemetery and went out there to check for markers for me twice. Sadly there are no markers for any of the three Anseth children that are buried there.

Please let me know if you find any other correction -

Thanks again,

RE: Anseth Baptismal Records
Martin Anseth, 3rd child of Bernt & Karen, was my husband's great-grandfather. I am so glad to see these records out on the Internet even if you have to have a paid subscription. Maybe we can finally put to rest to notion that Knute was died at sea since his birth date & baptismal records are dated after their arrival. Not very soon after, making one realize just how difficult a journey it was for Karen.

Anyway - I haven't worked on our Anseth's for quite some time either. But I did download all the records I found and will be updating them later today.

Thanks again for adding so much to our quest.

Anseth Baptismal Records
Thank you so much for sharing this link with me. Back in 2011 I'd retrieved copies of the records available from the Evansville Historical Foundation but they didn't provide all of them (obviously).

Are you an Anseth descendant - your name seems familiar - have we corresponded before? Please know that several of the older siblings baptismal records are under the surname of Christianson, while their confirmation and/or marriage records are under Anseth.

Again, I thank you so very much for taking the time to share this with me.

Best Regards,

Thanks for noticing the mistake. I put so many names on the spreadsheet that I didn't notice the dyslexia setting in.

RE: Dorothy McNabb
Patti, they did not attend St. James, St. Thomas, or St. Mary's. My guess is that she was either at St. Andrew parish or that her death occurred so recent that I do not have access to that information. I am sorry that I am of no help here.

RE: Dorothy McNabb
There is a Dorothy McNabb at Fairplains Cemeter with a year of birth of 1902. That is the only Dorothy in the city cemeteries.

RE: Rose Taylor
isn't Joyce her maiden name? I found her parents under that name

Rose Taylor
They could not find a record for Rose Taylor in their files, if you have her exact date of death they can check another way. They do however have the record for her parents

Sibson photos
Hi Patti,

I just visited dlmk's page and saw your request to use the photos. I think this person is dead or AWOL because administration at Find a Grave gave me all of the pages made by him or her over a year ago. I don't know what to tell you about using someone else's photos, but I think if you give photo credit with ID number on Find a Grave it will be all right.

RE: Sibson family
I spent my day yesterday on the Sibson family all because of trying to document the correct spelling of Elizabeth's maiden name. That is what started the journey and coming behind you one step ahead of me on some links. I added every death certificate found on Seeking Michigan and sent in all the bread crumbs I was seeing to everyone's pages as edits. Now we wait for the others to catch up to us. It was fun knitting the family together and locating the kids and grandkids. I know it's important to document the corrections to errors or they seem to have a life of their own and clone themselves.

Nice to meet you Patti!

Leah Harris Basford
Hi Patti, my name is Ray Bassford. I see you left a request for information on Leah Harris Basford. I was wondering if you have what is written at the bottom of her headstone? Leah and Joseph are my 5th great grandparents. Thanks, Ray

William Morgan

I told you that William Morgan, d. 1894 did not have a stone at St. Andrews Cemetery. I was incorrect. William Morgan, d. 1878 does not have a stone. I have posted the one for the William d. 1894.

RE: Jorgensens
While taking their photo, buried next to them with the same color stone is Heitman Jorgenson, his wife Agnes, and their daughter. Heitman could possibly be Peter's brother??? I made a memorial and posted the photo on Find A Grave.

Basford and Small
Hi Patti,
The only information I have on Joseph Small is from a Basford genealogy site. Both Joseph and Mary Jane can be found under number 309. Mary Basford.
Hope this helps.
