Hello Michael. I am the daughter of Vernon and was wondering if you would mind turning his memorial over to me and my account so that I can add addition photos and info to his memorial? I would really appreciate it and thank you for putting it on findagrave.

Betty Jane Prangle Levet #98575426
Mr. Drachman
I finally did remove from Betty's memorial the Utah State Veterans Memiorial Cemetery in Draper, Utah as per your information.
Losing the US State identity on memorials makes searching the general internet more difficult.
Betty and her husband Charlie Levet were my long time friends and coworkers at Sperry Univac.
Sorry for the delay,
Clifford Pedersen

Thank You for your memorial posted in memory of Charles
Levet. He is a distant relative. His grandmother( Margaret Dunlap Stott was a sister of my great grandfatherx2)
I have been researching the Stott branch of my family .His mother Hannah and most of the family made their home in Chester( city) Delaware County,Pa. Chester County is next toDelaware County.Chester ( city) is often confused as Chester County.by researchers .
I found your site by just typing in his name and birth year--what a surprise to discover he had moved to Utah.I like to find
family members who were veterans. I served as an army nurse in Viet Nam.
Charles and Betty Jane were married 9 June 1951 in Upland Baptist Church, Delaware County, Pa.

Mr. Drachman, I've taken the liberty of using your marker photo to document 1LT RICHARDSON's place of burial in the Coffelt Database of Vietnam casualties at http://www.CoffeltDatabase.org The photo is attributed as you directed.

CoffeltDatabase.org is a "Pay" site only in the sense that we (The Coffelt Group) pay for it from our own personal time and hip pockets. No advertisements, no "memberships", no cost for access - just documented information on our Vietnam dead.

Thank you for allowing us do this for 1LT RICHARDSON.

Hi, I was wondering about the memorial you have for Beulah. You show an unspecified burial for her in California. I have found her buried in Rose Hills cemetery in Whittier. I was wondering if you are related and why you have the memorial as non specific?? You can email direct at: mamariegs@gmail.com. Thanks for your time. Sincerely, Claudia Rieger

Transfer of memorials
Hi Michael,
Thank you so much for transferring the memorials to me. I am not that familiar with Find A Grave and the information was very helpful.
It looks like you have spent quite a bit of time volunteering for a great cause.
All the Best,

John Warnke
Appreciation!
Thank you Mike: With your recent contributions to the Utah State Veterans Memorial Park, you are assisting to fulfill "our" goal of placing photographs of headstones on the veterans who served our country. It is individuals like you, like John Webber, like Hawkeye and other, who are taking time to volunteer your expertise, to enhancing each memorial with a flag, a picture, a flower or information on the veterans. Your work is absolutely beautiful; a thousand hurrays! You are helping to build Find A Grave as one of the most reliable genealogy research sites available. Without your contributions, it couldn't happen. Thanks. JW

Thank you so much for the picture of Sgt Wohlstrom's grave in France. I think it's important to read the names of servicemen on the memorials on our local town greens and hook them up with their families. Especially the ones buried so far from home.

Don't delete. I will just ask for a merge. That way all the links will be preserved. I know the multiple married names can make it hard to prevent duplicates. I sent off a merge request already. Thanks.

Thank you for the edit requests and correction of date. The notice in the newspaper prior to his obituary had the date published incorrectly. It's all been updated and I've created a bio from his obituary.

Blessings,
Annie :)

Michael,

Thank you very much for the photos, and if the GPS coordinates came from you, thank you for those too. The cemetery looks beautiful.

It has to be a difficult time to be in France, even if you are not in Paris. I hope you and yours are safe and sound.

I appreciate getting a photo of Lloyd Higley's marker. He was a Veteran, surprised that he does not have a Military marker. In Ohio the Military markers are usually placed within 60 days.

RE: Robert L Schafer
I have no info on LDS ward, missionary stuff, etc. My friend Candy Kammerman does these searches for me. My nephews did the posthumous thingy. I believe he was not of the church when he was alive. Neither was wife Jennie.

I can send you an invite to my Ancestry tree, so you can what I have on Robert.

Robert L Schafer
also, my Mormon connection:

I was able to check on religious ordinances for Robert. From what I found, it does not appear the Robert joined the LDS Church while he was alive. The same appears to apply to his wife Jennie. However, it appears that relatives have done those ordinances posthumously for them.

RE: Robert L Schafer (86127546)
I saw the NARA record for a Schafer, John, Utah, with much coding that is unusual, his serial #06521295 is correct, but he's not from Maine, or divorced, unless I missed something. He's definitely from Denmark. I have found similar coding on others in the NARA record. I'm not impressed with the big merge.

Why does Robert have two military records?

I have not found a monument request, maybe you can help. I've run out of steam with him.

Laurits? where does that come from?

Stymied...
Joan
