RE: Overton Cemetery
I will contact Findagrave and ask for their help

The actual Overton cemetery is in Find A Grave under Gilchrist Overton Cemetery. I placed the cemetery on Find A Grave and have been there many times.

Thanks for responding. Sorry to have troubled you. I had thought you might have established the Find A Grave site.

"Overton Cemetery"
I have done some further research on the cemeteries in Sharon, Ga. I have visited the cemetery listed as "Overton" cemetery. With me was the caretaker of the old Catholic Church.

We checked the names you listed as being in this cemetery and they are in the cemetery across from the old Catholic Church there in Sharon. The name however is "Purification Catholic Church" cemetery.

My ancestors are buried five miles outside Sharon in a wooded area. They are Overtons. There are no Overtons buried in the Catholic cemetery.

I would like to have the name of this cemetery changed so that I can apply the Overton name to the correct cemetery.

I would appreciate your assistance.

Greetings,
Was Harriet A. Feagin a wife of this Samuel T. Feagin? If so, I would like to link her.

Journey
Samuel T. Feagin
I am researching this family line. I have more information if you might be interested.

He was married first to Harriet Johnson (1848) and had these children:

Charles born 1850
Samuel born 1853
Robert born 1855

Then he married Mary Ann Douglas (1859) and had these children:

John G. born 1860
Tallulah born 1861
Fannie born 1863
Leila born 1865

I would love to compare information.

Doc Smith
McHunter Lee Tipton Memorial
Corporal Tipton, known as "Mack" to all who flew/worked with him, was a personal friend of mine. I searched for over 25 years before I finally found out where he was interred; couldn't mentally deal with it at the time and it was years after the incident before I could bring myself to start searching. Thank you for the photo, I hope in the future to travel from my home in Minnesota to visit him personally.
