RE: 118979516 Edith A. Mulberry & 118836213 Millie M. Mulberry
Hi Maureen. I'm happy to transfer management of your family members back to you.

Ironically, I've recently discovered that I am attending church with the family of Ethel B. Mulberry Denzin. Such a small world it is.

Cheers,
Bryan

Glad to see you found Beatrice's memorial page.

I see she is at Block 43, Plot 1A. I have seven photos queued right in that same area, so if you request a photo, I will grab it the next time I am there.

Hi Maureen, back in late October I did post what photos I had for your family. I do not have anything for Priscilla McLean or Brad Peters, but it's possible I missed them.

Thanks for your kind words. The most important part, Doug is now free of pain. He had suffered so much. I miss him terribly, but know he's resting in the Hands of Jesus.

I have transferred the requested memorials to you.

Hugs

I am just leaving to head to Colfax and shoot more.. will also stop by cemetery and check some other stuff that can only be checked by walking it...

we are only doing 1895-1927,, because that will cover the time period that was lost to the fire...yes they have ALL records.. they are required by law to keep them, thought not sure the rules on access to current burial records..

as you see from that funeral record it doesn't say where buried.(if I remember right). so the cemetery may need to be changed, or it may need to be deleted if it shows it's the same one... it's up to you..

my job is to get the records out of the basement, and posted on Find A Grave... if I don't do that, the families will never find them !!!

we are photographing the records from 1895-1926 the years that the records burned.. all the records will be posted to the respective pages or have pages made for them... it's a long process... so will take some time..so far we have photographed 1895 - 1913, am going today to shoot the rest..

RE: Moss, Joinson & Peters Families
Hi Maureen, your assumption about the name was understandable. The main gates don't have a name on them, so why would anyone think the cemetery is named the same as the road on which it's located? If I hadn't been reading death certificates I would not have known either, at least not until I got a map from the tourist information centre the day I made my first trip to photograph. I figure it will take me another two days to get the rest of St Margaret's, probably in the spring.

Do you want me to post my photos, or would you rather have your own on the family memorials?

RE: More Mulberry photos in Spy Hill
Thanks Maureen. I have added updated photos for David, James A, and James T Mulberry. Somebody went to a lot of work to clean them up quite nicely.

Also, I added a photo for Mary "Aunt Mary" Mulberry. The marker must not have been there when you took photos, but it was there in September 2013, so I added that for you.

Enjoy!

More Mulberry photos in Spy Hill
Hi Maureen. Just FYI that I also added a photo for Mary Mulberry. It appears that the grave marker did not exist when you were there to take your photos, but it is there now, so I have added it to the memorial.

Mulberry photos from Spy Hill Cemetery
Hi Maureen. I have some more Mulberry photos from Spy Hill Cemetery. I see that you've already created entries for them on findagrave.com, however, in some cases (one for sure), the stones were much cleaner and more readable at the time I took the photos (Sep 2013). Would you mind if I added those photos to the memorials you've already created?

You are most welcome. I'm glad we could help close that loop for you. I know that the volunteer cemetery board at Spy Hill has been doing an amazing job of marking previously unmarked graves in the past couple of years, including a couple of my very own close relatives.

Ruskevich memorials
Hey Maureen,

The two Ruskevich's have been transferred to you. I am thrilled to be able to transfer the memorials of your relatives to you! So you're excitement is "payment" enough for me for creating these memorials.

I've had so much GREAT help - above and beyond what was necessary - by several Find A Grave members so I'm just repaying (in a very small way) the help I've been lucky enough to receive.

Good luck with finding the rest of your Canadian relatives!!

Best wishes,
judy :)

Hi Maureen,

It is such a "rush" to find out that a memorial I made has helped fill in some genealogy blanks! I am excited for you.

The cemetery is huge and from the pictures I see it is very well maintained.

Now for a bit of bad news. Your great grandmother does not have a known headstone. Her information was from the cemetery records. The birth year that I have on the memorial came from the information that she died in 1930 at 64 years of age. Your great grandfather does have a headstone with dates as shown on his memorial.

My husband and I just made a genealogy quest to Canada to try to find his great grandparents headstones from information found on a funeral card that his grandmother had saved that showed the name of the cemetery in which the great grandmother was buried. She, sadly, did not have a headstone but we know from the cemetery records (yes, we even found the person who had the records!!) that she is buried there and so was her husband, two of her sons and two young grandchildren - who all had markers. So it was a very rewarding trip.

I would be so happy to transfer your g grandparents memorials to you if you are interested - and I'm sure that you are! Just let me know please.

I hope that this helps!

Best wishes,
judy aka High Plains :)

Perhaps...
I noticed that you have posted a few memorials from Quebec -- any chance you have family with the surnames LeMay, Heroux, or Bussiere? My children's father is French Canadian, and I figured it was worth a shot to see if you might have come across those names in your research. :-)

It was my pleasure...
We're a military family, so I always feel a duty to honor the soldiers I come across on Find a Grave, regardless of the country they served. They all sacrifice so much and are so brave. Leaving tokens of respect at their memorials seems like the least I can do to thank these men and women for their selfless service and dedication to their fellow countrymen. I wish you and your family all the best. Have a wonderful day!

Just to clarify. I didn't add the pictures. I just remembered them from a failing to find and fulfill them earlier.

Hello Maureen. Many thanks for your message and your kind intentions. There really is no rush to locate Phillip's grave but any help would be much appreciated. I hope it doesn't get too much hotter where you are. We are almost shivering here in London, England now that our summer has come to an abrupt end. Best wishes, David

RE: Phillip James Kneller
Hello Maureen
Many thanks for your message and kind offer to take a photo of the grave of Phillip James Kneller at Fernie Municipal Cemetery in British Columbia for me. I have just clicked he 'Request A Photo' button so that if you are able to take a
photo it will feature on your Volunteer Photos Taken list on Find A Grave.

However, I should perhaps point out that Phillip J. Kneller is not a direct relation. He was only born in 1963 but the family tree I believe he is part of emigrated to Canada and the USA from Germany and Austria. They settled in many parts of Canada, including British Colombia, and some were mainstays of the Menonite community of German settlers. I have studied and followed this interesting family for many years but as yet I have not found his exact grave reference on any site. This may make it difficult to locate his grave but I would still be very grateful for any help which you are able to give.

Regards,
David

I sure wish I could post those pictures to the memorials you created! At some point I will have my hands on those photos. I'm very fond of the dearly departed and want them to be remembered, to have a face put to the name. I guess you feel the same:-)

I believe Frances does have a stone. It's been a long time since I worked on that part of the family genealogy, so I'm not certain. All of my records are in storage at this point.

Frances is blood related to Dave Randall's wife who was Frances' mother's sister. I have Frances' photo album and it contains some pictures of Dave Randall, his brother Simeon, the wives, etc. It's in storage or I'd send copies.

RE: Frances Marie Godfrey Abel
Hi Maureen,

Yes it's the same person. Frances was my husband's grandmother. Frances' mother died giving birth to a second child. Frances' father didn't want to raise her so she went to live with the Randalls. She loved them very much and they were very good to her. Her father remarried and had two more children. She and her father both lived in Colusa but did not have a relationship. As I recall, he either committed suicide or was shot by another. Interestingly, her father's only descendants are through her. Strange how things work out.

How are you related to David Randall?
