Sarah Elizabeth Moore-Nolan - Manion & Maddox Cemetery
Hello. I wanted to say thank you for the photo of the grave stone of Sarah Elizabeth Moore-Nolan located in Manion & Maddox Cemetery which you posted on

As for your photo ... may I have permission to post it (and any other of your photos of my ancestors' and/or their graves that you may have posted or will post in the future) on my file. I post a message under the photo giving credit to the person who took the photo. I have no interest in publishing any books or using the photos in any way other than for genealogical purposes. I have several things I post under the photos depending on the "owner" of the photo's desires. I have two below ... if you will allow me to post your grave photos on my Ancestry file then I'll place the statement of your choice. The second one has a _____ in it and that's where I would place your e-mail address so people can contact you directly for permission.

NOTE: This photo was obtained from a photo volunteer and the volunteer has kindly given me permission to post this on my file. You should take the steps to contact the owner of the photo for permission to use this photo for your personal use ... permission is NOT granted by me for any use as it is not mine to give.

Again, thank you so much for your kindness ... Find A Grave volunteers are wonderful people :-)

My Huber family married into the Vandercooks. A couple years ago I inherited a 150+ year old scrapbook through my Huber line. Half of it is about the Vandercooks. Take a look at it and if there are any photos you would like, I'd be happy to scan and send them to you.

Launius tombstones
Hi Billy, to answer your questions about why the Launius stones are out of the ground and leaning against a tree. Dorothy Pickard told me back in about 1977 that she and Evan went out there and dug around to find the stones. They dug them up and cleaned them. I swear I recall her telling me they took them home to clean and restore them, then took them back out. But those stones are heavy, and the cemetery is pretty far from the road, so I probably misunderstood that part of it. But I know they worked a bit to unearth them. Anyway they replaced them, and I'm sure they did the best they possibly could to locate the original graves. Susan

I have posted the main monument picture, but I will have to go back for close ups... the sun was not right and caused not all the dates to show clearly.

I will be going back on Sunday or monday.

Emily Wilkinson

Sorry about not doing the updates on Emily when I first got the request. I had them in my email and kept saying that I needed to do that but everytime I would log onto Find A Grave, I would get distracted with something else. I did transfer her to you. Let me know if I have anyone else that is related to you, almost 95% of who I have in Calvary cemetery are not related to me.

Mt Etna
Hi Billy,

I don't have any other information on the church than what is on the stone. The building and contents were sold at auction and has been converted into a house. Feel free to use the pictures I posted if you need to.
