Hi Patti, would you please share your source for the middle name and nickname? Also, according to his death certificate, he died in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, but lived in West Terre Haute. Would be very happy to look at the sources for his full name. thanks! :)

Would you have a source for the middle name Elizabeth you could share? It is not in any of the records I have found, and her middle initial appears to vary on the census (which is of course, not particularly reliable lol). Thanks so much, I really appreciate it.

RE: Gerard Brandon
Thanks Patti Jo. I'll probably take you up on that. There is a chapter close to me so maybe if I just go through them they can help. If not, I'll go through you. Thank you so much for the information. I guess we are cousins many times removed. My sister and I went to the Antebellum Tour in Natchez about 5 years ago. We took a tour of Gerard the father, Selma Plantation. And we stayed at Wm. Lindsay Brandon's plantation house a couple of nights. That is still in the family. His probably 6x granddaughter is the host. Then we stayed at Brandon Hall a couple of nights It was also on the tour. It was neat because they were thrilled to have decedents visiting. All of the places were just beautiful and very well kept by the present owners.

Nice to hear from you. I'll contact my local DAR. I have their info.I have found Gerard's year of birth as 1749,1750 and 1751. I usually go with 1749.Maybe your DOB is more accurate. Thank you

Gerard Brandon
Hello Patti Jo,

Are you related to Gerard Brandon, the father, from Donegal Ireland? I found this site when I was doing research on him. He is my 6th great grandfather. His daughter Susannah was my 5X great grandmother. I was trying to get more info on him as I want to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. I have his name in a family bible but I was trying to find something showing that he served in the Revolutionary war. I know he served at Cowpen and Kings Mountain. Nice to meet you

Hi! I need the burial Section and Lot Numbers in order to take a photograph for you. This cemetery's staff does not help photo volunteers, and the burial location is not available anywhere else.

Phone: 708-366-1900
E-mail: deborah.bluck@foresthomecemetery.net

Last year I fulfilled over 450 photo requests at this cemetery after the burial location was provided.

Thank you!

Ace

P.S. I tried to look up his burial location at the local library, but I could not find his name in the list of burials for this cemetery.

Dorothea Wehrs at Forest Home Cemetery
Hi! I tried looking up her name in the Forest Home (Waldheim German) Cemetery records for May 1906, but I did not see her name.

I hope you will contact the cemetery and obtain her burial plot.

Phone: 773-287-0772
E-mail: deborah.bluck@foresthomecemetery.net

This cemetery DOES NOT help photo volunteers so I cannot obtain the burial plot any other way. If you decide not to contact the cemetery, please remove your photo request.

There are currently over 200 unfulfilled photo requests at this cemetery because the photo volunteers cannot obtain the burial plots.

I can't take credit for the restoration, but I did meet the dedicated worker at the church cemetery who was engaged in cleaning the stones and repainting the inscriptions. If you look at some of the other photographs I took at the cemetery, you will see that his efforts have improved the appearance of many of the markers.

RE: William Henry Shivers
Patti Jo, you are so welcome. It was my pleasure. With the cool weather, it has made it easier to locate headstones. I found Dona and Willie's as well. There is one more listed but it must be covered up by the grass. I plan to go to Oakland next week so I will try to unearthen it. Have a great evening.

I've entered the info that you sent.

You mentioned Jefferson in your note. I did not enter Jefferson's memorial, nor did I link it to Walter's memorial. If there is a correction needed, please do send it to the contributor of Jefferson's entry.

Thanks!

Hi Patti Jo,
I appreciate all of the work you have done in Antigua and elsewhere! I walked the cemetery at St. John's Cathedral this past summer while on an unrelated assignment with the government of Antigua. I am now in the process of adding to your fine work in that beautiful cemetery.

Kind Regards,
Scooter T

Hello,
I have transferred Carlista's memorial to you. I agree that the info from the census regarding her being a braile translator is very interesting and thought you might like to add that yourself.
