Vestal Hills Memorial Park
You have a photo request for someone at Vestal Hills Memorial Park cemetery. It is nearly impossible to locate someone there without the section number and plot number. All monuments are of the flat bronze type and many are covered with leaves dirt or grass. If you can provide Section/plot i can give it a try. I know the cemetery pretty well It is HUGE and hilly and just trying to walk around mowing the rows to find someone cannot be done.

John Ransing @ St Anthony`s
Hello David,
Based on your earlier research. John Ransing`s parents were:
Mother - Mary Ransing #135512535
Father - George H Ransing (not found)
The brother who survived John was Captain Henry Ransing #135512196. This info comes from Henry & mother Mary`s memorial stone, combined with the Bio. that you posted.
Please add to biography, and link if you agree.
Thank You & Best Wishes,
Glenn

Suzy & Rob
Josephine Gelatt
I'm sorry but I have to decline your edit to add Cundey as Josephine Gelatt's maiden name. If you can give me a source for the information, I would be happy to reconsider.

I did find Josephine Gelatt living in the household of William and Nellie Cundey on the 1920 census but her relationship to the head of the household was that of Mother-in-law. That would indicate that she was Nellie's mother and that Nellie's maiden name was Gelatt, not that Josephine's maiden name was Cundey.

As I said, if you have some other source for her maiden name, I will certainly reconsider the decline.

RE: Coalmer
Glad to do it! John Coalmer's brother, George W., was married to Lydia Lydick (3rd wife), my great-grandfather's half-sister. We were in Fry taking pictures of family stones and when there are others nearby with the same name, we include them as well.

RE: Esaias Billingfelt
You're welcome :) I don't want the memorial, but thanks for asking. I'm not related, just out for a walk to take some photos :) I noticed that the birthdate given in the obit is quite different than what is inscribed on the stone, just thought I'd let you know about the stone. Have a great weekend! Carol

Florence Foster
Hi David. I walked the Wildwood Cemetery, unfortunately I did not find Florence Foster. However I did find Abram Foster (1875-1948).On the same stone w/Abram is Hester (1874-1958). I see that you were also looking for A. Foster (1875-1928). I'm not sure if the A. Foster that you are looking for is the same as the Abram Foster that you mentioned in your request for Florence, as the death dates differ by 20 years. Please let me know if you would like this photo posted and on whose memorial you would prefer it. Thanks! Wendy

Lyman Tyler
David:

I believe Lyman Tyler must have died in 1867 not 1807...he is alive in the 1850 and 1860 U.S. Census Reports, and I don't believe this cemetery was up and running in 1807.

I do, however have a problem reading the age (years at death...looks like ?9). IF this is the correct person, and IF the 1784 date of birth from the census reports is correct, it should read 81 or 82.

???
