Amy, you're awesome!! Thank you. Unless there's information on the other side of the headstone, this photo is perfect!!

The City Of Glasgow sank after leaving Liverpool on March 1, 1854, and went missing in the North Atlantic. It doesn't sound like either one of these is your guys.

Yes I am aware there are two. Was your Jonathan thought to be lost on that ship?

You did nothing wrong. I was confused about who combined the memorials. I think what happened was when I requested that "child Morwig" be linked to his parents FindAGrave staff saw my memorials and combined them. The headstone photos have the 2011 date of when you originally posted them on the other memorials.
You are right about when someone goes through the cemetery and sees no memorial has been made, they're going to create a duplicate memorial for the children. So, I think what I will do is change the name back to Morwig on the memorials and put in the bio area that the name on the headstones was spelled incorrectly. Of the six children in this family, my great-grandfather, Louis Mornwig was the only one to have children, and they were girls.

Hi Amy, thank you for posting the headstone photos. I'm a little confused though, who merged the memorials? I included links to the Morwig memorials on my Mornwig memorials and the links I made are gone, except for the "Child Morwig."

Should you even need to use one of your posted photos that you no longer have a copy of, you can always right click your photo in findagrave and choose "save" to download it to your computer again.
I have heard others mention the problem you explained about someone posting a memorial without a cemetery. Among the many helpful changes being made recently to findagrave is a rule that a poster has 30 days to place their memorial in a cemetery. After that, the first person to make a memorial for that person in the correct cemetery gets to keep theirs.
However, in this instance, the first poster was entering cemetery records provided by the city of Grant, which didn't include any dates. The second poster was transcribing headstones, and without the dates on the first memorial as proof, had no way of knowing for sure if his was a duplicate.
I'm not dead-set positive myself there aren't two, but if there were, the city records should have listed two, and then the original poster would have entered them both. Also, I am researching this family currently, and don't see any evidence of two people by this unusual last name.
Thanks for your work.

Thank you for posting this photo: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=63072247&PIpi=57715031 on the memorial page for John E Rodarmel, Find A Grave Memorial# 63072247
I believe that this memorial is a duplicate of Find A Grave Memorial# 61359639. I have sent an edit to the creator, and wanted to suggest that you post this photo to the first memorial also, so it doesn't get deleted entirely.

Thanks, but it's not important to me. I appreciate the tips on duplicate memorials. I went through my memorials and deleted all the duplicates.

|Jerry||Francis Swift - Ft McPherson|
Thanks for posting the information on Francis' memorial. I've done quite a bit of research on the old Ft Laramie cemetery and the interments that were moved to Ft McPherson. I note that some of the grave markers moved with the remains, but many were not and it's unfortunate.

Thank you very much for setting this up for William. He was my roommate for 14 years and I was his caregiver at the end. I plan to make the trip to visit after his stone is set, and hopefully get a picture of it to post here.
Thanks once more

Is this the Ivan Price she was married to? # 1316480
This memorial number belongs to Lavern White not Ivan Price, so I am confused. Could you please double check the memorial number? Thanks.

|Jeffry Burden||Pvt. Brammer|
You are correct about John Brammer's cemetery. I have deleted my Fort McPherson memorial, and requested edits/additions to the Greenhill memorial. I visited those two places on consecutive days, and lost track of where it came from! I agree with you about the John/Hans issue as well.

As a new member of Find a Grave I have created a second site for Robert Lester Mundschenck as the original one is "Inactive" and blocked. I have added his biog, incuding how he was killed in action off Okinawa. Would you consider moving your nice photo of the gravesite to my new site so it will be complete.
