You're welcome. I did not take the picture, it's from a webpage that is listed in the caption of the photo.

You're welcome! I didn't see any more Winter's while walking through the cemetery, although I was also looking for my own family members so I wasn't paying close attention to most headstones.

RE: Mabel Smith
You're very welcome, Bob. This was certainly one of the more interesting requests I've had in awhile. Photos of Eliza's urn are also posted, as well as George's, but lighting didn't permit a very readable photo. It looks like Mabelle was cremated at the Pasadena Mausoleum. You might want to start the search for her husband's remains there.

RE: Mabelle Smith, Inglewood
I'm sure if you contacted the cemetery they could tell you who is currently responsible for the room. You can e-mail them at ipcaccess@inglewoodpark.org or go through their website, link available on the Inglewood cemetery page of Find-A-Grave.

Hi again Gary,
Inglewood searched for Harold H Smith, but no sign of him there. Also, did you notice that Eleanor, Virginia & Anita Maure were all intered at Inglewwod on Feb 1, 2008, even though they died between 1994 - 2007? Someone decided to move them all ....

RE: Winter's in LA

Great blog ! Thanks for forwarding. BTW I checked some old photos I had taken inside Graced Chapel Columbarium and the "Winter Room" does have a glass insert in the door. I'll be able to photograph the interior. Hope to get up there again on Monday.

Mabelle Smith, Inglewood
Hi Gary,

Didn't think the location for Mabelle was complete, so I asked the cemetery for more info. Their response:

"Room 1 in the Columbarium. That is a private room, belonging to the Winter Family.

Others I was able to find:

George F. Winter (/4/1927)
Eleanor Foster (1914-1998)
Virginia Wilson (1912-1994)
Anita Maure (1929-2007)

I have no idea how these people are related.

At any rate, I've attached a diagram of the Columbarium so you can see where the room is. It's locked (or should be). Not sure whether the door has a window you can see through.

I found a number of persons named Harold Smith, but none are in the Columbarium. A middle name or initial, and/or a date would help."

As you can see, I'll need more info to locate Harold, if he is actually at Inglewood. The Columbarium is strictly cremated remains, so I'm bguessing best i'll get is a photo of the room entrance. If there are glass doors, then perhaps the interior.

RE: Crossroads Baptist Cemetery
A contributor will need to send Find A Grave staff a SAC to merge/change name of cemeteries. Living in Ga., I'm not familiar with the area so may I ask you to take care of the cemetery name? Since I changed the cemetery to Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Oconee Co., do I need to request the tombstone photos for you to take the Mize pics? From David's email, I believe that is the correct cemetery.

RE: Crossroads Baptist Cemetery
I received email from contributor who took recent Mize photos letting me know about the cemetery and hope it explains location. See below:

"Just wanted to let you know that Findagrave has the wrong names in the 4 Crossroads (or Cross Roads) Cemeteries in Oconee County. Three of the cemeteries are located within a few miles of each other north of Westminster. The fourth one is located in Tokeena Community, which is between Townville and Oakway on SC-24. It is listed on Findagrave as "Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery." That is where I found the graves I took photos of yesterday. However, that Find A Grave website does not list any Mizes.

There are 15-20 Mize graves in the Tokeena Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery."

The Oakland Cemetery is on Millcreek Lane in the village of Delaware. It is on the North side of Millcreek Lane across from the soccer fields. It is right in front of where Millcreek Lane and Atkinson Court divide. For information regarding this cemetery you can call the Huron Diocese of the Anglican Church ... the number I have is 519 434-6893.

I went to Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery today.
I stopped at the Fort Gratiot Twp. Office to get the location of the grave you requested. The guy behind the desk looked up the info and change the name to Jule E Winter. Could this be the one you want. Marker says Jule E. Winter, Feb 4, 1913 - Apr 8, 1976. I have the picture if this is the one you want. He did not find a Julie Winter. Barbara
