This is the reason I hate the new EDIT system Find A Grave came out with. Someone will send a correction thru that system and you automatically update it. Sometimes I think Find A Grave should have it where they could prove it a little better, but they did not ask me. LOL...... You are not the 1st person and I know you will not be the last that has had this problem before. I think I am getting to the point I will not approve any of the EDIT system. Oh well thank you for the update and if you do find out that that was her maiden name please let me know.

|Sandra||RE: Joseph Holleman|
Per your note belo: The information on Josephs page was sent to me by a relative. I did not make note of who sent it, so I can't help you with that any further. Sorry.
Marriage certificate indicates that Bennett's wife was his cousin Harriet Holleman. Censuses and Axum Holleman's estate settlement support that she was Axum's daughter Harriet. Do you have proof of her as Harriet Cook born in TN? This is a puzzle I have worked on for a long time. I am interested in sharing info and open to correcting any errors I may have made.

|R Moore||RE: Thank you!|
You're very welcome.
The lighting was pretty good today so I added a couple of photos to Henry's memorial also. If you don't want them there, let me know and I will remove them.
There were a couple of very young children on the stone that I made memorials for as well.

Good Morning! I was doing some "digging" and found that Bernice Richardson is listed as a "spouse" on for this grave. Bernice was my great aunt and died very young. She was never married. I'm new to this so I don't know how it got linked. But wanted you to know. :) Thanks!

"Mary Richardson #76910796 says only "his wife". Would this be the wife of John T. Richardson #79214295? Please let me know as I do not want to request a photo unless it is his wife. They are not connected on either site and I believe he is my gr-grandmother's brother. My gr-grandmother is Lillie Richardson Abrams #35909117. Thank you. Denise"
I have not way of knowing if they are related. I have no personal interest in any of the graves that I have entered other than my family members. You will need to provide that info for me if you want something added to the memorial. Sorry, I wish I could be more help to you.

Linked what I could for you and ask For a link for Rufus from RonMac as he has that memorial. Always glad to help!

You would have to contact Hether Pearson # 4047055925 to have her attach her father, to Lillie Richardson Abrams because she entered the information. I can only change information on the people I enter on Find a grave, I did as you asked for updating Stephen.

|J F-B||RE: Union Cemetery photo|
Lucinda's burial in Cass county is certainly plausible. Kansas City actually lays in four counties: Jackson (where Stephen is buried), Cass, Clay and Platte.
I've seen lots of folks buried at Union Cemetery who have family members buried in any of the other three counties. Back in the day, the first one of a couple to pass away may have been buried in the community where their family farm was located. If the surviving spouse lived to an old age, sometimes they came into the "big city" to live with their adult children. When they passed away, they're buried near where their children live.

|J F-B||Stephen M Richardson photos|
I have just posted three photographs of Stephen M Richardson's gravestone, including a shot of the surrounding area, a full shot and a closeup of the inscription.
The gravestone is damaged, with chips, nicks and scrapes, broken off at the grassline and laying on its back. Inscription barely legible in places, but clearer in photos than in the field.
No other family members' gravestones found in immediate area. Stephen's was the only Richardson gravestone listed in this section in the 1986 survey of gravestone inscriptions.
Plot W6E Row 5 is located in the far southern area of Union Cemetery, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, a few yards south of fenceline and about half-way between the east and west fencelines.

Posted a close up picture of emblem on Max's headstone I took today. I think it is for Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 47, but that is just a guess. After you look at it ,let me know if you would like me to leave it or remove it from your great grandfathers memorial page. Do you have a picture of Max that you could post?

Thanks for the offer to get photos for me from the Draper Valley PH church cemetery but I already have them.

Glad I was of help in search for your roots. I looked to see if the symbol on Max's headstone was in my book and it isnt. Dont know what it stands for. I looked in the Elmwood burial records and see 4 Abrams listed, Max, Lillie. Clara and an infant. Dont know if thats of any value. The only help I might have is that Elmwood Cemetery has a web site, and it has a link for family history on people buried there. It is a work in progress and not very complete but worth a look. It also has adresses and contact info. Web site is WWW.ElmwoodCem-KC.org
If I can be of any more help finding someone in Elmwood let me knows.
