RE: Robert David Harris Jr.
How cool - I'm in touch with Richard, too. Your uncle's father's younger brother Ralph was my mom's dad. So that's how I'm related. Ralph died when I was two, then Uncle Bob when I was about 8. I remember going to Uncle Bob and Aunt Katherine's big farm house several times, but mostly I remember Bobby (with his three boys) and Dickie coming over to the house my grandparents and my Uncle Bob's older brother Tommy lived in. It had been their parents' house - big old house that used to be on Hoffer Street - two of the barns are still there, used as businesses (the one farther to the south used to house a one of Bobby's restaurants in the late 1960s).
Take care!

Were you related to him through one of his wives? I know his only brother, Dickie (George Richard Harris in the same cemetery) didn't have any children. (Just wondering how we missed you through all my earlier years in and out of Kokomo when both brothers were still there).

Oh, and to us, he was always "Bobby" and his dad was "Bob," so I guess that depends on the generation, huh?

McINTYREs of SW Missouri
I had some relatives in Missouri who spelled their name with a "Y" - wondering if you knew if this was just a variation, or would they be a whole separate clan? Thought you might know. Thanks!

RE: Burl Loving's Gravestone Photo's
You are quite welcome, I was happy to do it for you. If you are interested, I also added another picture for the family of Loving. It is for Kevin James Connor. He is the grandson of Porter & Minnie and is buried at the foot of their gravesite in the Loving Family Plot, in Eula.

RE: Thank You!
You're very welcome - it was lucky that they had a big monument. Their burial site is at the back of the cemetery and nearly every grave around them just had small unmarked rocks as markers. I do seem to recall another name on the back side of the monument, one that I had meant to take a picture of, but got distracted. If I make it back to the cemetery (I live about 2.5 hours away), I'll take a picture of all 4 sides.

Powers Memorial
Thanks for the update on correct mother of Mary Holland Powers and also for b.date of George Rezin Powers. I have connected him to his wife, Mary Ellen Patterson Powers as you suggested.

It is good that Find A Grave gives us the opportunity to correct and connect our deceased ancestors, making them available for other researchers in their genealogy quests.
