You're welcome! I'm guessing that plaque that was added to his stone is fairly new. A photo of it has already been added to his findagrave memorial. It looked very new in person.

Sylvanus Brimhall, Sr.
Hello Linda, I noticed that you posted on the memorial page of Sylvanus Sr., father of Joseph Brimhall, that Sylvanus is your 4th great grandfather. Sylvanus is also my 4th great grandfather. Something in common we have. Mary M.

That's a good idea, though it's awfully remote!

I finally posted the picture of the back of the monument. Hope you can read it - it only seemed to have dates of death.

I have taken a picture of the back of the monument, as requested. It is barely decipherable but seems to only have dates of death on it. I will post it soon.

German Hill Cemetery.
Dear Linda,
I will try to get the picture of your ancestors grave for you. The cemetery only has 2 or 3 stones standing. A man I know was trying to fix the stones and was told to stop. But I will look for Henry's. Right now there's quite a bit of snow here yet.

I think Malena's memorial says all that is officially known. (Many women choose to use the surname of their children - whether she was divorced from either husband is something I have not researched; perhaps her son chose her gravestone) - Utah State always sends the last LEGAL surname at death, but the stone definitely reads BRIMHALL.
That is why I put this explanation on her memorial:

Magdalina "Malena" Zundel BRIMHALL MILLER is on the official Utah State Death Register as MAGDALINA MILLER, her last LEGAL name. Her stone reads MALENA Z. BRIMHALL.

Daughter of Sarah Forstner and Jacob Zundel.

She married 1856 (1) Noah Brimhall; they had only one child, a son: Jacob Alphonzo Brimhall, 1858-1921. He married Clara Bell Brown, widow of Wheeler.

Magdalina married 1870 (2) John Miller.

She is buried alongside her son, Jacob Alphonzo Brimhall, in her father's family lot.

chapin and Ellinger
I am still trying to find more information on these memorials. I tried to enter all memorials and take photos of the monuments as this cemetery was not listed on Find A Grave at that time. Got all that I could and my photo's were not too good, just thought it was better than having no information at all. Keep checking back the next few days as I may change or add information for Chapin and Ellinger. Thanks. Let me know if you find anything.

I have double checked the papers that I have and found no dates. I have added everything that was written there. There were some errors according to the monument photo and I have corrected them. It is rather confusing. There are around 9 Ellinger/Elingers then the Chapin and Ellinger so there must be a relation there. If you find any more information I would appreciate getting it.

Don't know when I'll get back there - maybe when it's warmer. I'll take a picture of the back. Didn't find Nancy.

I don't have time right now, but I will check on the Chapin memorials soon. Looks like my memorials need a bit of care. Soon.....thanks

Caretaker/Steward is a little thing find a grave does. So like, when someone passes away their memorials get passed on to family and not just anybody. Just an idea.

Hi Linda, I got a message that you had Elizabeth Bilham Kemp transfered to you. I was wondering if you could set me up as caretaker/steward of the Kemp's you maintain? You can read about it in the questions and answers of find a grave. Take special care of the Grandmother we share. :)

Hi Linda, I live in Utah. I do not have any more photos of Jim. I changed the caption on the photo to Sarah and sons. I have the entry of birth for Daniel.

RE: Morgan Jones
Hi Linda,
It is my pleasure to help with the quest! I was caught in the sprinklers there at the gravesite, so the photo I snapped was a quick one. But with a careful zoom, I can make out the tender verse at the bottom. It reads,
"Best fathers rest in quiet sleep
while friends in sorrow o'er thee weep."
He surely was a beloved man!
