I deleted the photo from Norman's memorial page, but I didn't realize that I had already archived Helen's photo and it's on a different computer. I will post it tonight.

Hi Brent,
Great work that you're doing. I like separating out the old section to its own listing. I've made the change on Mary's page.
Thanks for all your work,

I saw the descriptions on both cemetery sites BUT they are confusing at best because they are virtually the same.

Since you are separating them, then it would be most helpful to give your entry it's own address. Otherwise someone (like me had I not done my own research) may ask Find A Grave Admin to merge the two cemeteries, defeating your original purpose/plan.

I'm just suggesting this as Find A Grave has rule about making duplicate cemeteries when it is actually a section within a cemetery. By adding the independent address, you are clearly separating the two.

You do not need to respond, I was just trying to keep things simple for future reference.

RE: Meyer & Marie Gad
I have moved my memorials - may I suggest that you add the street address of 7675 Blackberry Avenue to the cemetery site as this is the address that shows on the Google earth map of the entrance gates you have provided a photo of. I don't know if this link will get you to the map I am looking at but wanted to add it FYI:,-90.3365067,3a,75y,180h,74.71t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sTt5MYoNPiSxRYSwrzMZ-UA!2e0!6m1!1e1

This also might help others to see that these are two separate yet affiliated cemeteries thus the separation of the memorials.

Also - please make sure to note in your files that the death certificates for Meyer & Marie Gad are NOT to be added to their memorials. I know they are available free of charge to anyone who wishes to find them - but the circumstances surrounding Meyer's death is very sad and I wish not to share it with the public on my memorial.

Thank you for honoring my wishes.

Diane Winters

Meyer & Marie Gad
Last June I requested that you remove the photos of the death certificates from these memorials - which you did. In the mean time, I see that you have added them again.

Please remove the death certificate photos from my memorials immediately.

Thank you,
Diane Winters

Moving graves
I have an ancestor who died in 1862. There is a record in Find-a-Grave showing burial in 1901. Can you give me an idea on how to determine the name of the original cemetery of burial? Would the records in the "now" cemetery show that info?
Your virtual cemetery is a great one. I am going to create one for my ancestors.

RE: Emily Setter
Hi Brent, just read another message sent to me and it looks as though her ( Emma) mother is buried in Fairmont Cemetery in Denver. I'm wondering if she could be there. I think her husband is buried in Canada and she is here in the U.S.
Thank you again for all the help. When I try to use the "find a grave " locator I always get an empty reply! :(

No, its not her. Looking for Emma Cortista (Ward) Setter. b-Feb 1848 D-1928. I did find that she died in Denver Colorado. Thank you so much for helping, it's nice to know where family is laid to rest. I'm hoping a photo of the headstone can be taken at some point.
Sincerely, Wendy

RE: Meyer
It's amazing how many comments the Typographical Union memorials receive. Out of everything I have done here on Find A Grave this gets the most attention. I posted this all just to gain experience in posting and adding biographical info, but it has become much more than that to many people.

Thank you for posting the photo requests. It is a huge help to those of us that posts hundreds of photographs. It makes it incredibly easier to relocate them.

Hi! Photos posted for her.

Also there:

1. Henry Meyer, 8-29-1895 - 9-13-1958
2. Hannah Meyer, 5-11-1905 - 3-11-1986

If you add photo requests for them I will post the photos that I took.

RE: Israel Davidson
That would be very difficult for me. I usually am in the area in the afternoons, unless it's a cloudy day that shadow will always be there (it comes from the huge monument in the next plot).

RE: Autogravr
all the volunteers do. what I try to do is isolate a section to work on for one person. I'm the only one who hops around because I get all the change requests.

I'm sending sec 84 lot 7 . it appears that everyone here is related. I was going to work it but you might as well.

let me know what you think.

Remember, we have no deadline, there is no hurry. I just want to know that if I get swamped, I can off load on to someone. I will assign you a section if you agree just so I keep things consistent.

If your email is not on your profile I will need that. I will give you mine shortly. if you read my profile you'll understand why I don't have my email out there.

RE: Autogravr
I could use the help. but, I do have some guidelines. Spring grove Cemetery in Cincinnati Ohio is my primary concern.

> I transfer to you. You transfer back. I send records by sec,Lot. That should give you families . Feel free to ask for other records as you find relationships. Families are scattered throughout the cemetery.
> We only use as a source. Our job is not to do research but to get these records corrected , filled in or whatever needs to get done.
> Duplicates are merged.
> if the person is still living, it is an automatic deletion. This is a no-no. (and I've had about 5 of these, mostly adding a living spouse when a deceased spouse is added).
> I have a good working relationship with The Spring grove Cemetery Foundation which is responsible for if you find an error (and there are plenty), typically spelling errors in the listing, I send an email to get it fixed. If the marker doesn't agree with the burial index, make a note in the bio and move on. We can't fix that.
> there are others but these are the basics.

If you'd like I'll send a group to you to try your hand at it. it isn't difficult but does take some discernment when figuring out relationships as it isn't always clear. if it isn't clear and you can't make it out, leave it. I'd rather have no information than wrong information.

Let me know. If you don't like it, no sweat. But if you do want to help, I hope you stay with it as I've lost many helpers along the way because this can be very tedious.

I've been a member for a long time and I have a close attachment to spring grove cemetery in that my parents are buried there. I'm also a native Cincinnatian who knows a lot about the cemetery.
