John Smith
hi
Looking up records on find a grave.

You took a picture of the headstone of a
John Smith, 1822-1866, buried in Greendale Cemetery, Dearborn County, Indiana. I am trying to add in cemetery record my a Smith line. I cannot make out on John Smith's headstone who his parents were and his spouse. If you can tell me what it say I'd be greatful.

Thank you for your time and service to find a grave.

I saw your message on Danny's memorial. I drove that red VW Beetle right off of the showroom floor in 1975. I put over 100,000 miles on it and then my Dad gave it to Danny's mother. She drove it to nursing school and then Danny took it over to drive to HS. Oh, the stories it could tell! Thanks for remembering my nephew.

I sent edits for her birthdate based on the grave marker, also for her maiden name based on the Spring Grove cemetery records. Please ignore these if you have info from better sources!

RE: Happy Spring
I can't wait to get back there! For the chili, for Spring Grove and just to be in one of my favorite places and hang out with you! I hope you and your son are both well - we missed you, but if you get up here to visit, we'll do a re-play! Take care!

Thank you Donald for updating dad's (Tom Welling) memorial site. I usually do it but it has been rough the last 7 months so I never got around to it. I am thankful that you updated it for us. It is much appreciated.

RE: Fithen & Paulus
Thanks so much, Donald! I didn't really mean to "claim" them - I was just excited to be in the cemetery where my cousins are buried. I really do appreciate your taking the time to do that!
I look forward to seeing you again - either here or there!
Take care,
Susie

Spring Grove Cemetery
Hi, Don!
It was great to meet you this weekend, and thanks so much for your help! If you run across any Fithens, Fithians, Brinks or Pauluses, they're probably my relatives. If I can help you somehow, please let me know :)

Dorthy Kilgore Casten
Frantz
I am researching my husband's family. His mother was Ruth Barrett Casten, daughter of Samuel Borethsky (known as Barrett) and wife Bessie Frantz. Recent discoveries lead us to believe she is the daughter of Riley Frantz (1815-1879) and his wife Mary Bechtel (1818-1897).

Riley was the son of Isaac Frantz and his wife Amanda Crouse. Isaac was the son of Matthias Frantz and Elizabeth Bashore. Matthias was the son of Christian Frantz III and Anna Moyer.

Thus far I've found no proof that our Bessie Frantz is connected, just hunches based on name/place. If you can give any input it will certainly be appreciated.

Thank you so very much.

Hi Donald~

Apparently we're related, because, these are my G-G-G grandparents. Can you let me know how you're related - just curious. My father's side of the family is also buried at Spring Creek, 'Stafford'. Please keep in touch, I'm considering, even though I too am related.

RE: Wilhelm Scharf
I'm glad you're happy with the photo of Wilhelm's grave marker. I'm not related, but one of my motives for doing this is to help preserve as much as possible the old German inscriptions in the cemeteries in Northern Kentucky.

RE: James Scharf
You're very welcome for the photos. Thank you for your kind and thoughtful message.

Please note that the memorial that I originally placed the photos on was a duplicate of a memorial created for him previously. So, the duplicate has been deleted and I've posted the photos on the original memorial for him. It's listed under the name James David Scharf at Arlington National.

Thank you!
