Hello,
I would like to ask if you could review the edits that I have in your edits tab, on your profile page. I am not related. I thought to share some findings from some overlapping research.

Please feel free to let me know any concerns you may have.

Thank you.

Find A Grave Jen
Willard A Hoffman
I'm not sure if they are related but wanted to let you know there is a Lenora Hoffman buried right next to Willard. She was not listed in the cemetery so I justed added her and the photo.

If they are related please let me know and I will link them. Also, if you would like I could transfer the ownership of Lenora.

RE: Saginaw Conrads
Natalie,

All the additional information is coming from the Saginaw Online Obituary Index at: http://obits.netsource-one.net/

Hope this helps. I'm trying to stitch a few Saginaw County, MI stuff. In order to increase more Sharing between Bay & Midland Counties.

RE: Margaret and Louis Kinkel
You're very welcome. Glad I could help. There were no other names on that stone and I didn't see any other Kinkle's near it but I am going to try to get back there before it snows since the cemetery is huge and we only searched half of it, so I will check again if I get there!

You're welcome! There were no other Lofthouse gravestones near there, or anywhere in the cemetery for that matter.

Amasa Gilbert Davis
Natalie, I could not find any record of Amasa in Royal Oak, St Mary's, Oakview and Roseland Park Cemeteries. Amasa is also not listed in any of the Troy Township cemeteries. Since he died in Detroit, he is probably buried there. Copies of Wayne county death records are available at the Burton Collection, Detroit Public Library. This may tell you what cemetery Amasa was buried in.

Hi Natalie,

All additions made. Glad to see Tom finally made a return visit to Hagaman. He had photographed several of my relatives there a few years ago.

Carrie E. Bloss, Frankie L Bloss & Arthur Bloss
Hello, I got 2 out of 3 of your request done. I got Carrie E. Bloss, her headstone reads:
CARRIE E.
DAU OF
S. & M. F. BLOSS
DIED
Sept. 20, 1882
Aged 5 Mos 1 Day.
She was but a Flower.
Too good for earth. God
called her home.

That writing of the Flower is at the very bottom of her headstone. I just had to get it. I thought it was a beautiful saying.

I also got Frankie L. Bloss, her name is on the top of her headstone, her stone reads:
FRANKIE
Wife of
George W. Bloss
Born May 7, 1867.
Died Sept. 20, 1913.

I am sorry but I couldn't get Arthur Bloss headstone because he does not have one. I took a picture of Carrie E. BLoss and an old tree. I think he should set on left side of her headstone right by the driveway.

Regarding your Lofthouse inquiry, I only transcribed the cemetery records. What is there is there. I have no other information. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Hi Natalie,
I think the Hagaman records are pretty complete through 2006, so he's probably buried elsewhere. I hate to change the year of birth that are cemetery records. I'm guessing they're probably the most reliable. Did add the month of June.

RE: Hunzeker
Natalie, This book has Rudolph Hunzeker, born Jan. 1, 1800 in Kircherau, Switzerland. Emigrated to America November 1, 1855. Died Oct. 14, 1870.
Now it looks to me like this is the Jacob in Dry Branch, with born Jan. 27, 1812 and died Oct. 14, 1870 because he is on the same stone as Verena that was born Mar 1, 1815 and died Nov. 18, 1891. What do you think?
Also I don't know if you are interested in this, but in the DuBois history "Czechs In And Around DuBois" by Albert Panec there was this about- James Hinzda (sp) James and Mary Hinzda, his wife, came to Nebraska in 1867 and stopped at Aspinwall. They registered for a homestead in Johnson county but the land was poor and they gave it up. They rented 40 acres near Aspenwall. The grasshoppers came and destroyed all their crops. In 1868 they bought 160 acres for $1000. where they farmed for eight years. The last two years again were grasshopper years, they became discouraged, sold out, and moved to Humboldt. The farm is now owned by Emil Koester. -taken from History of Czechs in Nebraska.

RE: conrads
It's a large lot and I got the impression that those people were all buried there since the dates are carved on the headstone. If the person is buried somewhere else, it usually mentions where they were buried or lacks the buried dates. Also, those names appear on the front of the stone, not the back. The back of the stone simply says Conrad. It appears that Charles Edward and Magdelana Mary were not deceased when the headstone was made. Judging from the dates, I would guess that Charles or Magdelana paid for and erected the new stone. It also appears that they are not buried in this grave.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Amsterdam, NY runs the cemetery and knows who is buried there. You can call them at 518-843-3250, ask for Matt. I'm sure they will be glad to help you. Please let me know how you make out. You've got me curious now. It's amazing how we genealogists always end up with more questions than answers!

Good luck,
Bruce

RE: Hunzeker
It's a little book "Hunzeker Family History" Rudolph Hunzeker Family History 1800-1959
by John J. Hunzeker
My Uncle Rudy Hunzeker was from the VII and last of the family line of Rudolph & Verena Hunzeker.
I had just started to see if I could get the families linked together, it can be difficult if others don't do the edits, and there are always the ones that you don't know where are. I like to try though! Luella
