Hi Lynne: Thank you for the edit on Samuel Hazen - According to all the census records I have found he was born in New York state, as you said, but the 1865 Census at Catlin, Chemung County, New York recorded that he an his older brother were born in Chemung County.
They were 24 and 21 and in the Army, so I think they would have been responsible enough to correctly name their county of birth. Since your edit is all contained in one request, I don't know how to accept part of it, but I guess I could accept it and then change the county name.
Are you sure he died in Pennsylvania? In 1905, the family was still in New York and the month he died, his widow applied for his Civil War pension in New York.
Any help appreciated ~ Shirleen

Thank you so much for taking the time and making the effort to contact me about Katherine R. "Kate" Tucker. I made all of the suggested connections and it then spurred me on to finding other siblings. Now have 5 of the seven.
All I can say is you exemplify what this site is/should be all about...discovery, notations and sharing.
With sincerest appreciation,

We need your help! As we reach the final remaining photo requests at Calvary Cemetery, the photographers need an exact burial location since there are over 100,000 burials. Please call their office at (419) 536-3751 and then update the listing. Thanks!

So far I have been unable to find the grave stone, even with a section map. However, I did come across Leo and Cecelia Wozniak in the very-close vicinity of where Helen should have been. I will keep looking, just to be sure.

Good morning, Lynne,
Thank you so much for all the good information on Hannah Sophia Bugbee Buck. I posted it and credited you.
A question: Should I have listed her, then, under 'Bugbee'? - Or Buck?

Sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure if this is a cremation or a burial. I haven't been to the cemetery in years, so unfortunately I can't be sure.

Thanks for the updated info on Amiel Knight, I have records showing it spelled both ways but I think Amiel is the right way as that his how his sons name is spelled. And would very much like a copy of his death certificate.

Someone asked me to move your info to her bio. If the info came from a newspaper, I would like to note that, would that be possible?

thank for the parents of Emmett - I will try and get photos soon -- I think you should use only one spelling of the name, otherwise it will not come up in a search properly.
