|Dee Green||RE: SVNC Info.|
No, it's not that far. If you stand with your back to Columbarium 1, it's the section right in front of you. That section looks very similar to Courts A-I but the stones are slightly smaller and there is a circular area at the end of those walls with entrances on two sides and a short column in the middle. The first temp. markers are on the farthest west wall. Section 8 would back up to this (as does section 11). It's not separately labels on the cemetery map.
Hope that makes sense. :-)

I wanted to let you know I ran across a new plot 'designation' when I was comparing the VA gravesite database against Find-A-Grave.
I don't know if you've seen any that say Section MW but it's the section across the 'street' from Columbarium 1. I looked there on a hunch and found the gentleman I was looking for plus eight other recent interments (all temporary markers) and added records for them since there weren't any.
I also sent a message to Kim S.

Many thanks for completing my request. He was a member of USMA Class of 1963. Each Memorial Day members of the class visit the graves of the fallen.

|Dee Green||RE: report a problem|
I figured I would check on them a couple of times within the 14 days to see if they get installed because I think they may be close. If that doesn't happen then I'll use your suggestion.
Thanks for the idea. I just didn't want to post the photo of a temp marker if I could avoid it.

Thanks for the welcome, Kristie, but no I don't know Dr. Spore. I grew up in Humboldt County and didn't move to Sacramento until '82. It would be interesting to run into someone with the same name. :-)

Most of our Davenports are from North Carolina and then into Missouri. They are from the Martin Davenport family back in the late 1700's. One of our Hopper gggrandfater's married a Davenport. If your are ever back at the cemetery where you took the picture of Ethel Dunham maybe you could get one of her husband's stone, Owen Dunham. I just put in a request for it. Love that you are such good friends with all my cousins ... that is so cool :) Thank you so much!

Karen's mom was my first cousin. Her grandfather, Ralph Hopper was my father's brother. I have not meet Karen (yet) but I just love her!!! She found me on a scrapbook site with a picture of our great grandparents and have been friends every since. Bonnie is another cousin I have not meet except on facebook and doing genealogy. Her grandmother was sister to my father. Small World !!!!

Yes, I have a big Hopper family in Vacaville. I had two aunts and two uncle that moved to Vacaville from Oklahoma back in the 30's. Ethel Hopper Dunham, Maude Hopper Binion, Ralph Hopper and Ruben (Jake) Hopper. All except Maude are buried in the same place as Ethel Dunhum (the picture you took for me). Most all of their children and grandchildren live in Vacaville. Would love to know if your friend is related :)
