|Lissa Waite||RE: Photo of Mary Baker's Grave marker|
Hi Sandra. I'm happy to send you the pictures but I'm traveling right now and your pictures are on my computer at home. I'll send them to you when I get back about Aug. 1. But I'll need your personal email address to do that, so if you could just send a brief message to me, I'll be back in touch soon. email@example.com

I received your suggestion. As you might notice on Amos Gates' memorial, I pointed some inconsistencies with his birth year, although I have now added the further evidence to his bio. I think his birth year should probably stay 1889 for the sake that it's actually on his headstone. Anyone who reads his bio should be able to understand what's stated.

|Suzanne A||RE: Ellizabeth Dill Markey Thomas|
Thanks for your note. I'm researching quiltmaker Anna Catharine Hummel Markey Garnhart, findagrave memorial # 124631488, as I may have mentioned. She was Eliza Dill Markey Thomas' mother-in-law, her first husband Frederick's mother. As grandmother to Eliza's children John David, Anna Catherine and Matilda Markey, Catharine Garnhart made each of them museum-quality quilts. We know the present where - abouts of John and Anna's quilts, but not Matilda's, if it has even survived. If you are a family member or have any clue of how to reach living descendants of Matilda Markey Frazier, I would be grateful for any information you could pass along.

See my earlier message. I've deleted my memorial to Eliza Dill Markey Thomas, have added your memorial as mother to Anna Catharine Markey Mantz Jones, and have asked the managers of memorials to John David Markey and Matilda Markey Frazier to changed their links to "mother" to your memorial.

I am so happy to discover this accurate memorial to Eliza Dill Markey Thomas today! I saw the confusion over the two Eliza Thomases who lived in Frederick on findagrave (see memorial # 8513982) and tried to remedy it myself with a new memorial for Eliza, # 132499492. You are a family member? Perhaps one I've been in contact with? I'm taking down the memorial I created. All links to Eliza's relatives are presently erroneous because of the three memorials. I'll also try everything within my power to correct that as well. I'm researching Eliza Dill because she's part of the Markey family I'm studying and the mother of John, Anna and Matilda Markey. If you are a family member I don't already know, and wish to share family information or review what I've found, please contact me.

I filled your request for Jonathan Gee in De Ann Cemetery, Prescott, AR. I'm still posting pics but I tried to pick up any other Gee I seen in the old section of the cemetery. There are quite a few there. I'm sure I didn't get them all. I didn't even make it to the new section of the cemetery.

It is up to the family to buy headstones. Many do not get them because of expense, lack of follow thru, or other reasons, especially when the second spouse dies. Why don't you consider getting headstones for those family members who are without?

No headstone is seen, but you may wish to contact the cemetery to see if a stone was actually placed, or if it is hidden from view, as sometimes happens especially with flush stones.Telephone: 216-421-
2665, Fax: 216-421-2415

I am sorry to say that Egbert and Elizabeth do not have a headstone in this family plot. Seems like everyone else has something. Sorry. Will add family member headstones in a little bit to their memorials.

Good Morning - Thank you for the updated dates and bio information. I love hearing stories such as these, even though at times so sad. I am doing research on a relative born in 1812 and he and his spouse both died prior to 1860. They had ten children and each one went to live with different relatives. Hard to research but oh so rewarding when one is found. Sorry I can go on and on regarding this, anyway, since you knew so much about the Dill family I just transferred John Dill to you. Take care - Cindy

Yes, there are other Gee's there. I photographed those that had not been done. Go to the Dean Cemetery site and type in Gee and you will find them. About seven.

It IS sad, but we're working on getting things to a better state. The Woodland Cemetery Foundation is trying to raise money to buy a hoist to repair and reposition the larger stones. It's a big cemetery (60 acres, over 80,000 burials) and it DOES need a lot of work.
I had one more picture of the stone that I'll upload now...

You are welcome, I enjoy taking the photos and walking around to see the different headstones, so many lives that have walked before us each with a different story.
Glad that I could help.
