It's getting to be that time of year. Elder is generally well maintained, however it doesn't hurt to take precaution. You might want to spray yourself down good first. Growing up in the country, I usually throw caution to the wind and take a good shower when I get home. Who is it that you are looking for there? I've forgotten, if I knew. Loretta

James Lockwood
Hi Macy,

I'm confused about your Find A Grave message to me:

"James Lockwood
Can you call Riverton Crest Cemetery (206) 242-1444 for James Lockwood's plot info? They are very helpful but not always in the office. If I at least have a section I can go from there.
Thank you, Macy"

Are you somehow related to James?

Were you thinking about photographing his gravestone? I am already planning to do that.

Alan

Thank you for your efforts; you went above and beyond. I have encountered others in this family group without cemetery markers; I am puzzled as to why. Thank you for the plot photo.

Elder Cemetery
Just read where you are asking for directions to Elder Cemetery. I'll be going there today, I'll get some road numbers for you. It's pretty easy to locate, and you will not need permission. It sits right beside a gravel road and with just a few steps to the entrance. "Each Day Counts", Loretta

Macy, just read your message on how to get to Elder Cemetery. I'm pretty sure I'll be going there today. I will get some road numbers for you. It's pretty simple to find, and you will not need permission from anyone, as it sits right beside a gravel road with a few steps to walk to the entrance. "Each Day Counts", Loretta

Dear Macy,
They called me back and Kay was very helpful. The location is 13, Block 55, Section B. Her husband is buried somewhere else. She is there alone.
Thanks

RE: Washington Memorial (Udell)
I called to get plot information, but they have not called me back. I have heard they are not very helpful from my cousin in Oregon who went to visit years ago. At that time she did not think to take a picture.
I will send it as soon as I get it. Do the others and save this for another day if you do not hear from me before you leave.
Thanks
Robin L

Dear Macy,
I see you have accepted to photograph the McKays. Could you please accept the one for Charlotte Udell? I appreciate you taking time to volunteer. It is greatly appreciated. If you need me to call to get location or send a letter let me know I will write one up. Let me know if you can add this to your list.
Thank you so much.

Cemetery Wanderer
RE: Virgil & Florence Davis
Hi Macy send me your address and I will send you a map. helenmz51@gmail.com

Otherwise Section J is along the far cemetery border from the entrance, NE corner. There are 34 rows in this section. At the entrance there is a Y take the straight in lane and go all the way across the cemetery. Take a right and park. The section on your left is Section J. Now walk to the edge of the section across from the road you drove across the cemetery. If you look straight in from the road you should find a grave with Howard Marquardt, this is row 33 you want to walk down (east) the road to row 21, Michael Deyette. I believe Vergil and Florence Davis are in this row. If not they should be close. I counted rows by starting at the house and looking at the grave markers as I could read them.

The whole area along that end consists of the Lawn Crypts in the NW end and then Section I until the road you came in and then Section J.

I hope these directions help.

Thank You!
Thank you so very much for the picture of Everett C. Jennings' grave stone. I appreciate your time (and gas) to do this for me. You said that you also took a picture of his wife's grave stone. I have created a memorial page for her. If you could please add her picture, I would be very grateful. Her memorial page is linked to Everett's. Thanks again.
