RE: Robert McDowell Gibson
Much appreciated. That's why transcribing them and photographing them is so important while they are still readable. I transcribed a small 1770 cemetery in 2 days, and it was so much easier the 2nd day, when it rained. I kneeled on a messenger bag on the mud. Just goes to show that even grown-ups play in the mud sometimes! Thanks for what you are doing!

Robert McDowell Gibson
Thank you SO much, Colin! It's made of material that is difficult to photograph, and it looks beautiful. Since the lower part is more difficult to read, can you confirm the transcription? It looks like:
ROBERT Mc.D. GIBSON M.D.
Born
MAY.22.1812
Died
MAY.20.1878.
It's hard to tell if there's something below that, or just some wearing or design. Anyway, thanks again. Have a great holiday season!

RE: Daniels...
There must be some mixup. Dora and Isadora Daniels on findagrave have the same birth and death years and maiden name.

RE: another no headstone
Colin-- I thought that when I visited but someone on findagrave posted a photo of a stone for Dora. It made me think the transcript location was wrong.

Hi Colin,
One more question, please, do you know if Jerry City Cemetery is AKA Cygnet Cemetery? I am looking for a Cygnet Cemetery in Jerry City... Thanks so much for your help!

Emma & John Kersey
Thanks so much for looking for their graves. I will mark their memorials as graves unmarked. I was curious to know how Emma's name appears at the cemetery. Do you happen to know how her name appeared in the cemetery records? Again, many thanks!

Memories of Bloomdale
Hey,

I've noticed a few different people on Memories of Bloomdale, take an interest in their family history and I was thinking of posting a word file with a few different websites, to kind of help them out if they decide to do some genealogy. The ones that I use the most are:

http://www.findagrave.com/
http://www.wcogs.org/
https://familysearch.org/
http://index.rbhayes.org/hayes/index/index.asp
http://home.ancestry.com/
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/

Do you have any other sites that you think would be good to add to the list?

Thank you!

Julie

Thank you Colin for the photo of the stone. I have been to the cemetery in the past and forgot to add that to my list of things to do before moving from Michigan to Texas. Thanks for being my photo proxy.

Thank you for the correction. The new memorial is # 127095038. I did not move your photo of the stone, so you might want to re-upload it.
