Brown Family
I fulfilled your requests for the Browns buried at Mt Gilead, in Bolivar, MO. I found most of them and added another memorial as well. Hope the photos are up to par! Have a great weekend.

Gravestone Photo Permission
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Jack Alford in Causey Cemetery (Memorial# 10521068).

I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of New Mexico Obituaries, where his obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—
Permission granted by the photographer, Susan [or your full name if you prefer]

And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)

Duplicate photos
Please remove your duplicate photos from #37610229, my memorial. They are not an improvement and serve no useful purpose. Thanks.

Susan, I am related to the Burgins through my mother, Mary Catherine Burgin Schrimsher. Jesse B.W. Burgin 1808-1866 was my GG grandfather. I will invite you to view my tree in if I can have your email address.

Jan Kessel Hardin
Nancy Frances McElroy

The above lady is someone you have listed in Endee Cemetery, Quay Co., New Mexico. She is an aunt of mine. Her number is 75846877 and her name is Nancy Frances "Fannie" Clardy. Nancy was born Jan 1854 in Giles Co., Tn.
If it would not be a problem or too much trouble could you transfer her to me for my files? I would like to attach her to the rest of the family.

Thanks, Jan

This is another cemetery that's been duplicated & since merged. Most everybody in this cemetery has been at least duplicated. Some have 3 memorials because you added them to both cemeteries.

The "view all interments" total has barely changed since I contacted find a grave about merging a few & contacted you about deleting the rest. They should only be merged when the dup's been linked, has a quality photo posted on it or has some flowers posted on it but that's not the case with most of these dups.

People request pics so they can CLEARLY see the names/dates. If you can clearly see the names/dates in the real world but you can't on a pic...then it's not a quality pic.

So again - please go through this list: & delete your dups. If there's any left to be merged you can request find a grave merge them by sending link to both orig & dup to edit at findagrave dot com.

Thanks. :)

Laney and Beulah Moore
Please delete the photos on my memorials for Laney and Beulah Moore at Palo Duro Cemetery in Deaf Smith County. They are duplicate photos, and unreadable.

Thank you.

Palo Duro Wildorado Cemetery
I see you've deleted your cemetery of Palo Duro Wildorado Cemetery. Thankyou from everybody who's worked on this cemetery. Now you need to go through the whole list of memorials and delete all your duplicate memorials and all the duplicate photos that you've added. Regards.

Palo Duro Wildorado Cemetery
I don't know what to say except you have duplicated completely other people's work on this cemetery, from years ago, not since yours last year or so. The proper process would have been for you to investigate whether there was already a listing for Palo Duro Wildorado Cemetery, and seeing the county name was incorrect, have Find a Grave change that location on the cemetery memorial, then you could add any memorials or photos that are needed. The correct and considerate thing would be for you to delete all your memorials including the cemetery which you obviously created, but I'm sure you won't do that. So, my path will be to let Find a Grave hash out what should be done.

I just noticed you have memorials for all the photos I took today. I uploaded all of them for you. It's a peaceful area at that location, and one of my favorite old churches to visit in the area. Thanks for the opportunity to get these photos for you.

I noticed you had a request for a photo for Nelson Steed. I was out at the cemetery today and noticed several Steed headstones which I am confident are close relatives of his. Their names were

Hattie Lee Steed: Born 26 Jul 1891
Died 11 Feb 1949

Vernon Steed: Born 31 Jan 1915
Died 9 Nov 1994

Pauline Steed: Born 21 Oct 1918
Died 30 Mar 1992

Vernon and Pauline G. Steed share a headstone. I'll look for memorials for these three and if there aren't any I will add one. If they are family and I make the memorials, I will be glad to transfer them to you.

Thank you so very much. It is wonderful this thing you do. You are special people. I live in Calif., and looked for her and her sister for many years. Her sister Lola Sands must not have a headstone as I have an obit saying she was taken there for burial. I was told about 3 yrs ago they were putting up a new gate and fence, was this done. I have this special thing about the old cemeteries. I can't thank you enough. Jayne
