Cathi Clore Frost
Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery
One of my pet peeves is the many burials listed in Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery, Madison County, Virginia for deaths that occurred before 1903 when the cemetery opened. I know of only two headstones with dates prior that were moved there when the cemetery opened. In the interest of accuracy, would you please remove Adam Yager, etc. from this cemetery and mark their burial place as unknown? I just had to mark problems with over a dozen photo requests for this cemetery for burials that are simply not there and for which volunteers had gone out in search. Thank you, Cathi

RE: Thanks!
So sorry to be slow responding to your message. I haven't yet learned to follow messages carefully on Find a Grave. Olive Rynor Guilinger is the granddaughter of Julia Augusta Fisher, daughter of my 3 times great-grandfather, Vardis Fisher. So, like you, I am pretty distantly related. It's probably just as well that you maintain the memorial. Thank you for doing so.

You are very welcome. I try to make the updates as soon as I am reading the SAS from FindaGrave. What I am NOT so good about now is their new way of presenting updates on my Profile page and sometimes it's a week before I am reminded about them! Shame on me. :-)

Hi! Thank you for creating an entry for Francis Kraft. I pulled the death certificate. Francis was a female, and was my great great grandmother, first married to John Hermann Westermann. After he died, she married Mr. Kraft. The informant, William Westermann of Leslie, MO, was her son. I'd appreciate it if you would correct the entry. Thank you!

Thank you so much for adding my ancestors to Findagrave! James is my 4th great grandfather. I had no idea were he was buried in VA. From doing research, I knew he was in the Revolutionary War, but not what regiment. Your work is very much appreciated!

Hi again, Bev!

Changes are made. You can now make most changes directly yourself. When you click on "Edit" select the part you want to change, fill in the blanks, and it will come to me for approval. This has been great with people (not you) who are slow to make updates. If it isn't done in 30 days, it will automatically go to admins.

Hope you are staying in and warm.

Best wishes, Suzanne

You can put pictures on 'any' memorial, especially the ones you manage.... Family pics are always really good, put'm there if you have them, they'll be there forever or at least as long as findagrave is here..... Charles

I just realized that I said that Permelia was the daughter of Solomon Strickland... I meant to say granddaughter...her mother Malinda was his daughter just as you reported... my typo error..I know you know this, just clearing up my error for those who might be reading this that didn't. Again thank you so much...Diana 46807288

WOW! that really is an understatement for the amount of info you added to Solomon Strickland's memorial page... what a tribute! I am so glad I found his memorial. I was researching his daughter Permelia White who was the daughter William Anderson and Malinda Strickland White. You answered all my questions about her and then some, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Permelia married Thomas Jonas Pyron who's son Walter married into the Kirby family line that was from my Collins family line... so as you can see I have been tracing these family lines for a good while now... your find was the most rewarding since I discovered that one of my Collins ancestors, Alfred Clay Collins was the founder of Collinsville, Alabama.

just wanted you to know that I appreciate your research into this memorial. I know how much time it takes to do this as I have been entering data similar to this into my memorials as well. I want those who come in behind us looking to break down that "brick wall" we often hit in genealogy... just to have it there to find.
Again thank you for my find... thank you for your hard work...it is people like you that make Find A Grave WORK!

It was actually another researcher, who I think has been retained by descendants of Samuel, found him listed in my book and inquired with me and so on.

RE: Hawkins children buried Franklin Co., MO
That generation has been gone for such a long time but a few years ago I did find someone who lived out that way and was a caretaker of the newer cemetery. He was a Hawkins and gave me some photos of Charles Wesley Hawkins and his wife, Hannah. It was very special to get them. I think the man has recently passed away.
Thanks for all your help. We're digging out of 9 inches of snow in Ste. Genevieve!

Thanks for the tip. I'll contact you when I'm ready to go but it will likely be in the spring. Do you know if the owners were related to the Hawkins? I'm always looking for photos of the family and will share what I have as well.
