Hi Rob -
Thanks for taking your time to photograph my
great-aunts gravesite. The cross marking her grave, was it there, or did you place it there?
I wasn't sure if her grave had a stone or not.
Thanks again, I really do appreciate your efforts,
it has taken a long time for me to locate her

RE: Myrtle Anderson photo request
Well, I didn't find Myrtle; I checked 3 small cemeteries near where her father farmed, but no luck. I also had no luck getting any information when I talked with the man who now owns Hiram's farm. He and his wife are 93; they both have memory issues.
However, I have done some sleuthing and found that they may have lived in Emmet Township, Renville County - according to the 1930 census. And according to the 1940 census, Myrtle was living as a widow in the city of Renville.
Also, are you aware that Myrtle and Edward had a daughter, Olive L., born in 1916 or 1917, according to the 1920 and 1930 censuses, in addition to son Wm. Edward?
There are 4 cemeteries in Emmet Township; hopefully, I will find them sooner or later.

FYI-An old plat book that I have shows Hiram Walker owning 160 acres in Melville Township; I know the present owner, and thought I would ask him if he remembers anything about Edward and Myrtle.
Also, if you go to: and go to the 1890(about) paragraph, you will see Hiram's name mentioned.
The Elim Moravian Cemetery is not far from Hiram's acreage; I will check there today for graves.

RE: Myrtle Anderson photo request
I went to the Hector cemetery today to see if I could find her; she's not listed on their list of graves. There is a Myrtle B. Anderson and a Myrtle Jeanette Anderson.
There are a number of small cemeteries in the Hector area; I can check a few of those. If I find her, I'll let you know!

I agree with you that she is not in the Bird Island Cemetery; I have a listing of the burials, and she is not among them.
Have you considered that she may be buried in the Hector, MN city cemetery? Because her parents are buried there, it's a possibility, don't you think?

Milen Walker
I would be happy to transfer Milen's memorial to you "cousin"!
Milen's mother, Emma Marie (Rhode) Walker was my Great Grandmother's (Enia Rhode Krebs)sister.
My mother still remembers Milen and his siblings (especially Florence Walker Strandberg). My mother is asking how you are related - I told her I'd ask.

I added Baby Scott to findagrave. I would say definitely a relative, maybe great grandchild?

The circle is complete -- you did a couple photos for me last week. There was a Baby Scott Walker at the foot end of the Walkers...

RE: Franklin Bruce
That would be wonderful of you to do. Franklin Bruce was my great-great-great-grandfather. Most of the information on his memorial was put there by the original creator, and it looks like they used sources at the Minnesota State Archives to determine the burial location. I don't have access to my own records at the moment, but I'll look through them as soon as I am able to see what I might have.
